This is peak trash. A man heaven why would u want to watch an old man with his harem and one of his wife half his age bleah. Nothing to root for a 1 star. And no ml looks Hella old and unattractive
The drama is well done...everything about it is good...BUT with all my admiration for the male lead's acting, I wish they had cast someone younger than byung hun because he looks way older than Kim Tae ri ...a younger actor would have made that drama a classic...such a shame.

That's your third same comment where I also insult you and your non existent intelligence and your mental unstablity. They are perfect, she looks great, they look great. You can stop commenting and watch another drama. I also wish you didn't exist but here we are. They are both equally old and we love their cute older people love that is wholesome. Get a life, go to a psychiatrist, stop having weird complexes and obsessions ^^

I am not gonna bother responding to dumbass replying being blind fans of actors. This is not attacking actors, it's simply my viewing experience, the love between fake buyeon was almost instant no clue what drag you are referring to. You seem to be under the impression that this is team somin or the other actress as my fav. No this is about me enjoying s1 and being disappointed in s2 for everything except maybe crown prince and his turtle, I am not saying s2 was a mess to bring up somin.. I wholeheartedly think it was underwhelming, has it been a stand alone drama I would have dropped it from the second episode. Hope this clears it
One comment saying she is not a rookie was sufficient. I have never watched anything of hers so she is new to me and child actors are still rookies to me. Hope this ends the convo
I have just a tiny remark while jae wook did lose weight to sympolize the death of his beloved lover, it really didn't came well in term of acting as what I felt s2 is that he moved way too quickly for a supposidly mourning lover. Infact one of many problems with s2 was that I came to think oh so Jang UK is so fickle, all it takes is another pretty woman to take his heart so easily what a joke. Also might be because both are still rookies s2 looked and felt low budget. I will have to admit s2 had great chemistry and kissing scenes between the leads but the acting and everything else felt so cheap and mediocre that s2 was more of a fanservice with messy plot and acting. Many blame only the second actress but I really think it was a combination of both her and jae wooks lacking skills that made s2 a below mediocre sequel for me
As for s1, I am glad jung somin got the lead you can clearly see her experienced acting, her range of expression, her crying scenes her immaculate portrayal of buyeon and naksu then maid mudeok. I really can't see anyone else playing the character as her. Mudeok for me was so satisfying to watch, she is a brilliant, tenacious and unwavering woman, she gets hit on the head then smiles. She almost dies but remains calm and collected thinking her way out, she is ruthless but then actually has a tender heart for her beloved ones. It is so refreshing to see such a badass woman even without her power, she is still a top notch master. I was so hoping s2 would bring back somin at least as buyeon the strongest priestess of all time but what we got is a damsel in distress that only role was to love Jang UK, it's like s1 was written for the female gaze and s2 was for the male gaze buyeon is described as visual obsessed amnesia stricken dumb girl who faints, looks at herself in the mirror and has puppy love with UK and cries at the slightest inconveniences. Hard not to compare the two characters.
Last point here about the plagiarism allegation I watched both ashes of love and ever night and I can't fanthom why would anyone think they are the same except for the use of magic. Ashes of love was about a heavnly prince and and a powerless goddess that had her feelings sealed and ever night was about a master and his maid that he raised after finding her under a tree fall in love (aka grooming) so nothing to do with AOS whatsoever
This is the first drama where I am hoping for the female lead to cheat on her husband. I don't want the bs of her accepting the concubine and becoming friends
