I don't think it's "public" knowledge that their God of War is in a weak state and "needs" trials to recover (my understanding of trials is to upgrade your power and status?; maybe I am wrong ), especially for a young fairy like her. I don't know the story in the novel, though; I read in some comments that they hate each other and keep bickering, which makes more sense as to why she wants to sabotage his trial.

Yeah, Choi Jin-Hyuk on Tunnel did perfectly for a similar ML type, while Na In Woo acting is just plain unlikable for me.

Nah it get worse in term of the story. In South Korea, the show actually get complain of almost no plot for the 2nd part and the writer just put a buch of kiss scene every episode to make up for it. But some enjoy these kiss fest so maybe you too.

I loved Gaus too, but this one is enjoyable too. They adapt the scene, jokes, product, etc. to the Chinese culture, so a lot of jokes are actually fresh to me, not rehearsed for Gaus or even the webtoon that they adapt. This is an example of a drama with creative writers who know, understand, and love their subject.
