So, Netflix finally bought the rights to a Chinese drama, and it turns out to be *this*. I have quite a few issues with it: in China, employees don't address their boss by their first name—let alone use the informal "you"—so they’re really importing American mannerisms here, which personally bothers me a lot. On top of that, it looks like their relationship is going to be primarily sexual—something unusual for me by Chinese standards—and I have no intention of watching something that isn't just parodying America but actually copying it.

I don't think it has a romantic plot; it's about self- cultivation in an entertaining way—Ao Ruipeng style.

In the end, I actually gave this my lowest rating on MDL. The male lead seemed too stiff to me—the role really didn't suit him—and the female lead showed absolutely zero emotion; as for the chemistry, there's no point even talking about it because it simply wasn't there. Plus, the ending was an absolute disaster.

I don't know if we're watching the same drama: an innocent boy—sold by his own family into what was essentially servitude to another—gradually transforms into a calculating individual, having learned everything from the way he was treated by everyone around him. He simply refuses to be a mere plaything anymore.And he will always do all of this with his characteristic obedience and submissiveness, so naturally, no one will accuse him of having orchestrated it all. He is precisely the sort of person from whom you would least expect a knife in the back.

I absolutely hate his role—on one hand, he wants someone he can rely on and trust, but on the other, he wants an obedient woman; I don't think she's going to be both.

I have mixed feelings; the production is absolutely terrible, and the dubbing is just as bad. The choice of the male lead wasn't exactly ideal—I'm used to seeing him in more laid-back roles, whereas this one strikes me as very harsh.I'll give it another chance; we're only at the beginning, and the story isn't bad.

I have a question, I've been watching C dramas for a few years now and finally ML has an earring (for a few years now actors haven't had earrings in dramas, especially not in historical dramas), it's probably related to his role, please explain.Thanks

The script is absolutely flawless and the line "you grab me first" and "the first kiss on the wrist" absolutely got me. It has a reason, he fell in love first and in many cultures, women's wrists, like their ankles, have always been covered and considered erotic places only for husbands and, of course, lovers. Uncovering them was considered almost a disgrace.

I don't understand the angst here, one moment we have a broken heart and the next our FL is consumed with jealousy towards ML for letting another woman service him. It really wasn't necessary here, the two of them just love each other and nothing and no one can stop it.

Personally, I like the fact that everyone is replaceable in this story and if something is going to happen it will happen whoever it is that just does it. I just like the thinking of the screenwriter/director.You just don't change fate and that's it. I love it.

It's finally clear to me,the dragon had 10 sons not just 9 as everyone there talks about,the 10th son is Shiguang and is taken as insurance,if all the other 9 sons fall.But he doesn't know only that he's a foundling and he was raised by water dragons.Here's the one to replace Chi Wen.But before that happens he has to find out who he is and who really killed his whole family.

After the 7th it looks like we don't have complete positive heroes here, everyone wants something here.Some want to preserve their power, others want to take that power away from him and the others are simply adding up.This whole thing seems uncompromising to me so far without a clear intention but enough tricks as we don't know who they really are yet.

I didn't expect much of this Dilraba i personally don't like her, my opinion of her is that everywhere she acted she overacted enough and sometimes so much that you couldn't watch it.Long ballad I ended up watching only for Liu Yuning and Zhao Lusi,in Blue whisper I regretted Allen having to kiss her so many times because the chemistry between them was something awful,Legend of anle and poor Gong Jun again the chemistry between them didn't work and so Dilraba has it with most of her ML.But here someone has done a brilliant thing and cast it in a role that just overacting requires and it's done really well.Arthur Chen for me so far super I'm curious about how it's going to be with the chemistry between them,so far nothing much just that playing cat and mouse with both sides really amuses me.

So now I know the only one I personally want SE because where it goes it's not really good.Mu Qingyan started to listen more to Zhao and is slowly changing.Zhao spent a year living basically with the second lead and he's ultimately the one who really stands up to her master.Enough chaos and moreover Mu Qingyan saved Zhao and made his health really worse.All he has to do is use the ziwei method and this torment will be over (sorry but even I am already slowly torturing by the plot).

Mu Qingyan going to do the same thing to Zhao,deceive Zhao and collect herbs for the ziwei method, so it's going to be pretty similar.

It was now clear that they were both performing for her master but I still don't think it will have a happy ending.The thing is that even if all this was part of their plan, it's firstly time-consuming (I think she will be in exile somewhere between 3-5 years) and we know that Qinyan has limited time thanks to that poisoning plus eventually he will still have to use the ziwei method and it will definitely kill him.

And here's the proof as long as he tried to be adamant and genuinely obsessive but then when she declared her love to him what he had done, nothing and he hasn't even visited her yet and left her to the mercy of the other.But I rather have the impression that it's part of the plan again and they both just stepped in to get revenge.

Here I'd like to stand up for Zhao The girl is young and really inexperienced and naive about love in many ways.Moreover, she really blindly trusts her master which is another naive thing in her life and also because of that she lets her master be the one to disillusion her about what ML really is .

So after tonight's episode, I can even understand Zhao why the declaration of love for him is stretching it. After all, look how nice he is attentive, a real gentleman when he tries it. Men like him are predictable as long as they conquer you are extra nice, amazing and great but as they have you believe this will end.Men like him when sure they stop trying and so I really don't blame her.
