I never said that "let's not make it a norm that guys cannot be a nice to girls or else they'll be mistaken as having attraction." You didn't even get my point. What i was saying is that, AND regardless of gender, one should be VERY CAREFUL with their actions. One should know their limitations coz not everybody is like you who claimed that "you never took the loving & caring of your older guy friends to you as something romantic." Sending mixed signals is & will NEVER be a good thing coz there are people who will easily misunderstand.

YOU are like that but NOT everybody is like you, are they? & neither they should be like you just coz you're like that. If you're really like what you claimed, then good for you but don't assume & except that ALL people are like that. You're too biased just coz you hate the FL so you've just solely blamed her alone when Ming Cheng has his own faults too.

I get that he's just concerned, & worried for her & wants nothing but the best for her but his actions are TOO much. Why would he even want her to attend the same school as him? Just coz he's studying in a "high-class" university? He should know that Zhou Shi is poor so why would he still want her to study there even tho he knew very well that she wouldn't be able to afford it? He was way TOO concerned, TOO protective, TOO nice, & TOO sweet towards her. I'll assume that you're already an adult so you should know that TOO MUCH of everything is dangerous & bad. If he had set a boundary of his actions towards her, then maybe Zhou Shi wouldn't think too much of those. It's also not like he's the same towards his guy friends & since he has no other female friends, Zhou Shi wasn't able to compare his treatment towards her to the treatment he gives his other female friends.

But ofc, i know that everything i've written here won't matter to you coz at the end of the day, you just hate the FL so even if what i've said made sense, you still wouldn't agree. But whether you admit it or not, Ming Cheng was at fault too. Anyway, i've said my piece & that's that. ^_^

Well, the FL isn't the ONLY person to blame. Her gege is also partly at fault for being TOO nice & sweet towards her. Most females, even IRL, would definitely take that as a guy liking them more than a friend. No matter how much & long you've known each other, one should still know their boundaries. Maybe, if he wasn't too concerned about her then the FL would've not think of his "kindness" as him having romantic feelings for her. It's not only the FL who was too naive but also her gege. He's supposed to be older than her & even calls himself her gege & yet he wasn't aware of the things he's been doing to her. He should've known his limits & not give the FL false hopes.
