I would like to ask a simple question. If Pat still believed in Wai and even wanted to do everything to help Pran…
Some just need to hear Wai apologise - thinking what he did to help Pat not get arrested was not enough, hence the need to hear the word "sorry".
Whilst others just want to plainly cancel him.
I have called Wai an ass, a dick. Some of us may have seen him to be manipulative and guilt tripper when he had to ask Pran to take over the sound job.
What was one supposed to do though, if he had to make a decision between an athletic scholarship and a faculty extra-curricular? We were angry on Pran's behalf. But not too many of us thought of wondering if Pran was (written) to be upset by what Wai was asking him to do.
I saw him as a war freak, picking fights here and there.
I loathe what Wai did in E09. And at the same time I felt his pain when he was lied to. He gave Pran a number of chances to tell, but Pran chose to keep it to himself and lie. I felt Wai's anger over that sort of betrayal. He had a point - whether he's ok with what he will be told or not, that's for him to decide.
Outing his bestfriend to the world was wrong in all possible ways. Was it unforgivable though? It may take time for anyone to come to terms with that and forgive. But we may have reacted too harshly like he's committed the most abominable act. I even see the same unforgiving remarks on the reaction videos.
But why were Pat and Pran not angry when they were outed? Because we're dealing with fiction here, there are a couple of possibilities.
1. They were not sure if Wai outed them. They weren't sure if they were being overheard. They were caught up teasing each other that they were more shocked that everybody knew now. 2. They knew they were outed, but took it for granted, thinking they wouldn't mind if people found out. Unfortunately for them, it happened not in their own time.
What some of us may have missed seeing here is that Pran and Pat were forgiving.
They either had forgone or overlooked that they were outed. It's the kind of kindness that sometimes can get infuriating because the people around can take advantage of them.
But if Wai was written to be that evil with no redemption arc at all.. Well... ok. (ish)
If Pat and Pran were real people, and are that forgiving to the very person that screwed them over, how can we not be? And where are we going to direct that anger if we see that Wai has been forgiven? Are we going to be mad at Pat and Pran? What for?
What's scary is that the internet can be unforgiving. One false move, and you're cancelled... crucified.
Personally, I think a lot of these unforgiving reactions over Wai are mostly self-righteousness, and some just furious on behalf of Pat and Pran.
Because we think we can be properly informed in this day and age with the right thing to do, right things to say, we we tend to forget that kindness is also the right thing.
We know that Bad Buddy has been breaking almost all BL stereotypes out there ever since the first episode. You…
I love that it tends to resolve conflicts (big or small) in every episode.
choosing not to fight each other and becoming Line friends in EP01 choosing not to move dorms in EP02 helping each other to rebuild the waiting shed, returning Pran's precious guitar, and getting back in the freshy event in EP03 Ink assuring Pran that Pat is just a friend (although the sleepover scene broke our hearts) in EP04 realising the feelings they have for each other in EP05 (still broke our hearts because Pran walked away, trying to process things) just some happy happy special EP06 - to close the first act Pat saving the Kwan Riam play, showing how much he loved Pran in EP07 communicating their feelings and resolving their misunderstandings in EP08 sroting out the friends' issues after being exposed in 09
I have one too many BLs since I started this year, and rarely have I seen anything as fast and exciting as Bad Buddy. Most I've seen drags the conflicts for too long no matter how small - making it toxic. Some have dedicated two entire episodes with the leads having sex (LOL thanks to Covid).
Bad Buddy is not perfect. It has its "shis". But overall, it's monumental.
I want to everyone's thoughts on what you think is the problem between their parents... Thinking about this is…
Hold on to whatever you can hold on cos you're not going to believe this.
When Pat's mum gave birth to Pat, he had a birth defect. The dad couldn't accept that his first-born wasn't as perfect as he hoped. So, being still friends with Pran's folks, he connived with them to switch babies at the hospital.
That caused the rift because Pran's dad was not onboard with the plan, but the mum had no choice because Pat's dad knew she was dealing crack.
So the Pat we know today, is not the real Pat (who is out there somewhere in Chiang Mai).
It would be pretty interesting too why they hate each other so much. could it be that their fathers used to be…

That Oishi Green Tea has no vitamins in it, says the back label. Vitamin A - 0% | Vitamin B - 0% | Iron -0% | Vitamin B1 - 0% | Calcium - 0% But it has between 11 to 21 grams of sugar pero190mL bottle, so that should be enough to give Pat and Pran the rush.
My lovelies, out of consideration for our buddies who don't fancy being spoilt of what has gone on this evening, please use the spoiler tags when discussing events in particular. At least now and the next 2 days, maybe?
Sending all the hugs I can ever. It's not going to make things better, but I hope it makes it less shitty.
