I think a lot of us have been in a similar situation, where we find ourselves hesitant - caught in a moment where the other person realises how they feel for us.
I have had a Pran moment in my younger years... having gone out on dates with someone whose circle never liked my circle. We kept going out without really saying what we felt for each other. Although I knew mine have gotten more intense that I wanted to take it to the next level, but quite hesitant of what was going to happen next.
One of his friends found out he was dating me (but we weren't anything serious) and was so mad he set him up on a date with one of my exes (CRAZY RIGHT???). When I learnt of it, I started avoiding him, and made excuses when he asked to hang out.
That was when he realised how he really felt about us. Gathered his courage to stand up to his friends and explain that no matter how they don't like me and my friends, we will be in a relationship.
Eventually, after nearly a year of being boyfriends, we started drifting apart. It was sad, but love stories are often unpredictable, at times bittersweet.
