I deeply empathise with SML too 💔 if there were no Ye Rong it wouldve definitely been a different story, despite his personality and financial instability and with a sick parent and a brother who’s still in high school our FL would have definitely broken the walls he’s put up around himself and his depressive life would have seen the light of the day if not for YeRong … he knew FL wouldn’t do such as slendering YeRong but he never knew her well enough to defend her absolutely all because of YeRong chronically inducing false narratives about FL to SML and his family and I believe SML attitude towards our Fl is purely because of biatch YE Rong , his inferiority complex is a different story..if there were no Ye Rong FL would still be pursuing him happily and he would’ve taken a step towards FL after his financial stability (he couldn’t have pursued her with nothing even if he likes her considering how Fl is from a completely diff world)and who knows it could turn out beautiful but … As long as there is YERONG SML can never be happy , what a curse ……. SML needs someone like our FL but our FL would be sabotaging her life while trying to heal him

Boi same thought SML and jiaxu have similar situations considering their family bg … jiaxu could never give love /dating a priority whilst been in a difficult situation neither could SML , only after jiaxu landed a prestigious job and had financial stability were he able to give love a chance … in the same way SML probably was gonna give love a go after his financial stability … but all these misunderstandings created by Ye Rong wouldn’t have made it work out between FL and SML ….. if there were no Ye Rong , they def had a chance even if SML have shi* personality and acted cold towards our FL cus our FL has strong and bubbly personality to crack open his wall …. If there were no YeRong involved it would have been a different story despite the SML ‘s avoidant personality…. But happy ending between them ain’t guaranteed… but we would’ve def seen a different bubbly side of SML induced by our FL FOR SURE

But but … this ain’t an excuse for him If he liked her , he should’ve made it clear to her that he likes her too but he’s not in a position t start a relationship cus FL clearly said she’d wait He shouldn’t have made FL feel bad about herself, shouldn’t have projected his inferiority complex on her He shouldn’t have let RongRong bully her Should’ve supported her no matter the circumstances … But all he did was watch her feel miserable in front of her friends
