In the novel, did he ever confess his love to her or maybe the other way round? Have they ever at least become a couple even in private? Idk what to expect, coz he seems no interest in dating even though he loves her. He should at least take a advice from the emperor, that even if he can't marry and he can still live together with a woman he loves.
I see. One and Only may not be that sweet, but Forever and Ever (modern sequel) will be very sweet and romantic. And, Bai Lu is the iQIYI's sweet on international brand ambassador. That's why they included it.
I'm confused with the comments below. so this is just a prequel of a main drama?
Nope. It was more modern-focused in the novel with only few flashbacks of the past (historical). But, in the drama, they decided to make two separate dramas, historical prequel (one and only) and modern sequel (forever and ever). Both dramas are main dramas on its own with connected storylines and same lead actors. They chose to make two separate dramas to pass c-drama censorship smoothly.
So, there is some confusion about this Drama and 'Forever and Ever'. They are not actually sequels but actually…
I heard because of the c-drama censorship/policy, they had to make it two dramas which is originally supposed to be just one. To pass c-drama censorship quickly and smoothly, it has to be no more than 50 eps. So, they decided to go with separate two dramas.
It may sound stupid to ask, but what exactly means "he is the only one who has beautiful bones and skin which is rare to find". I think it's the main concept of the novel/drama. Did it clarify in the novel?
At this point I now fear my favourite actor to get too famous 😪
I feel like that too. If your favorite is already a big star or A-lister, you're so proud of his/her achievement. If your favorite is still underrated or not too famous, you will be busy supporting and showing love to them. For what? To be more famous? And now to be a weakness, finally got cancelled?
