There's some backstory about FL's parents murder which will reveal later. The little sis was the one who witnessed it. Maybe she got a traumatic experience, and she always overacts in every situation. I find her irritating too. We will understand her better soon.

I'm also thinking the "teacher" guy was the real killer of KSJ's daughter 8 years ago and KSJ killed the wrong kid. But, why this assemblywoman helped this kid out in the court using her money and power? I first thought she was covering it for her son (real killer). It doesn't make sense, someone like her is just using the kid for her son's crimes. She is not someone who would help others.
