He is now the owner of ice stone and born with the energy of the King's star. Because of both (I assume), he came back alive from the ashes. This is high fantasy drama, which would not fit in normal drama logic. He is the main character of the whole series, without him there is no a sequel... there are so much his story left to tell.

LJG and SJK have only 3-year age gap as well.
Idk how much accurate the info is. The makeup and costumes could make it happen. In S1, Eunseom/Saya and Tanya were considered as teens. In S2, they are adults it makes sense too.

It said so when the casting was announced. I was surprised too, when it's gonna take 10 freaking years for the twins to meet each other, or Eunseom to reunite with Tanya 🥺
