They were focusing too much on slice of life and keep pending the problem execution. 16 eps should be enough.…
I think if Dusik’s past was revealed earlier though and the rest of the episodes were fillers, people would say it had a draggy ending… somehow no matter what was done, people always wish something else was done

Too much coincidence..and I can’t understand y someone hus dead came back just to comfort someone…huh?!
I also see it as him forgiving himself. Basically, he’s just his imagination so the forgiveness really came from himself in the form of Hyung in his mind. At the end of the day, that was the root cause of the problem. It wasn’t the wife or Doha that he needed validation from, it was himself. He had to choose to move on and allow himself to live.

I read someone say that it was necessary for him to lose someone without feeling the guilt as he has felt for every other person he lost so far. This time, he knows it wasn’t his fault and he’ll have someone by his side to grieve with him.

Yeah, some people feel disappointed that “oh it was just that…?” But it definitely was a HUGE deal to him and it really teaches us how everyone is not like us and we don’t know what they’re really going through or if they have the same capacity as us when dealing with certain issues in life.

As much as I want to punch them too, it’s reality. People like them exist and what are we to do with that? Do we never heal because we can’t get an apology? I think it was intentional that they didn’t apologize because it shows us that we don’t need their apologies to move on with our lives. We can choose to leave the past behind and live happy. (Of course, a lot easier said than done)

Yeah, it seems there was a shift after Episode 10. Haha but maybe I have been anticipating too much every week and my expectations have been soaring. I wonder what I would have felt if I binged it instead. As a whole, I’ve enjoyed the journey and this is my first time following an ongoing drama and talking to people on mdl so it made things a little more exciting. Haha

Sadly, that’s how the real world is. People don’t always apologize and I think it was intentional that Seonah said she won’t apologize for the way she was to bring home the message that there are people who will hurt you and never apologize about it, but you have to find a way to heal somehow and move on with your life. At the end of the day, we can’t ever control other people but we can control what we do with our life. Super sad reality and super hard to do, but I think that’s the point.

Title Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Spoiler
In my opinion, yesterday's episode was poorly written... I had so many questions like why hyejin didnt show much…
Regarding Hyejin, I was thinking about why she was portrayed that way and I can think of a few reasons. When Doha punched Dusik and revealed that his dad became that way because of him, I think her reaction was pretty realistic. Of course for us, we might say we would rush to him and protect him at all costs, but she is still having an inner battle about who Dusik really is and what he’s hiding. After hearing that he was possibly a murderer, there was hesitation. But we see that she did still try to follow him.

As for all the scenes that we’d expect her to ball her eyes out, I think it’s how it’s written because I’ve seen Shin Min Ah’s other dramas and she can definitely be more emotional and cry really good tears. In the scene with Dusik revealing his story, maybe she felt like she needed to be a rock for him so she held back her tears?

But yeah, the last part about the people needing Dusik, haha that was definitely just to show how Gongjin can’t function properly without him haha

However, I don’t think it was rushed because how many episodes did we need of Dusik intensely crying like he did today? I think one is enough for me ㅠㅠ

Makes sense, he definitely deserves an apology from those people after all he’s been through! But realistically speaking, do people who have wronged you always apologize? I think in a way, we are shown that healing can happen without the apologies of those who have caused us the most pain. It would be nice if people say sorry, but sometimes we have to move on without it.

Title Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Spoiler
Have you ever felt lost in your own pain but everyone around you says it’s okay or everyone tells you things they think you want or need to hear but they actually don’t help? I think that’s how some viewers are treating Episode 15. From this episode, everything feels exaggerated. This whole time we have been informed that Dusik has some kind of trauma from the past and we expected it to be justified by something horrible he might have done. Now we find out that nothing was even his fault at all yet he had so much trauma from it.

But I think that’s the point.

It’s ridiculous that all those unfortunate things happened to him and all those people blamed him for it. It’s ridiculous that his trauma was caused by something that wasn’t even his fault. But I think Episode 15 showed us what goes on in his head. It showed us the pain and the guilt that he carried even though it wasn’t his fault. And so even though we keep saying that none of those things were his fault, in his head and in his reality, they were. The pain and drama we experienced is what he had been bottling up all these years.

In a sense, we have been experiencing the drama through Hyejin. We didn’t know the details until Dusik told her. And the lightness and fun from the first half of the show was how Dusik portrayed himself to be. But as she got closer to him, she started to peel those layers and we started to experience the dramatic scenes in the later episodes.

Many might think the drama started off great and ended poorly, but I think the writer has done a great job and has been intentional with how everything was executed and I look forward to rewatching it as a whole to connect more dots.

Sorry, this is so long but this is the first time I wrote something so long haha I hope it makes sense

wtf... I'm kinda speechless at those people blaming Doo Shik for those accidents... all of that was not Doo Shik's…
I think all those forgiveness scenes were not for the people but for Dusik himself. Even though we can clearly see that nothing was his fault, in his mind, it’s all his fault. And I think all those scenes are to forgive himself and to heal from the past. Speaking from personal experience, I’ve gone through things that I blame myself for even though everyone around me tells me it’s not my fault. You relive those things in your head and convince yourself that it was your fault and you get stuck in that. As ridiculous as everything seemed, in his head, that’s how intense the guilt was.

I think her emotional acting was better in Tomorrow With You as I’m currently watching that right now while waiting for hometown episodes… but eh, haha I still love this drama to bits!
