i was a victim of bully and still facing it... where the society is corrupted you can't trust no one. Through JM you can see how corrupted public bodies are, (especially Asia). When they see money everything apparently becomes fine. You can't trust the justice too they are too corrupted. Everyone is against you, you basically can't do anything to get revenge. But the thing is if you get revenge you are just as bad as they are. EG is through distress and depression you can tell, she is not acting on her will. She probably has identity crisis too. We just need to know more about each character.
