Come here right after NIF2 because I miss Ping Zhang gege and what a surprise it has been .... He is so different here as Zhi Yun (lol) total opposite !!! Am surprised to see Leo here! Love him as Run Yu (Ashes of Love) and Rong Qi (Princess Silver) and oso Peter, like him as Yu Jin (Oh My General)
Feel sorry for the actors in this drama because they really try their best but it's the production team that fails them , watching this drama makes me feel like there are different teams working on different plots and they just mash the scenes up trying to fit them in like jigsaw puzzle (lol)
The romance is heartbreaking and very cliche/corny and made me sooo frustrated ! But I persevere because of Ping Zhang gege looks good in his costume (haha)
Ep 50 : OMG .... (major goosebumps) The moment I realised that they give homage to Mei Chang Su (notable mention of his name, right after Su Mansion ... awww, miss him so much) right at the end by bringing back the good old secret passage that interconnects Prince Jing Manor (which later I realised got converted to Chang Lin Manor) to Su Manor!!! And of course when the Chi Yan bracelet saves PJ (boom) I don't mind for the first time watching drama that has slow burn romance and non-existent kissing scene in both NIF 1 & 2 (lol) because those become secondary compared to the deep understanding love that they share together .... and of course romantic feeling become secondary compared to the strong family bond and love + the loyalty brotherhood pledge all throughout these series ... truly amazing!
Awesome! Brilliant! Sophisticated and very well executed! All the characters are very engaging and the portrayal of emotions are so on point. This drama is deep but I go through every episodes without skipping or feeling bored. Totally adore Fei Liu character and it's quite funny because I just finished The Long Ballad before watching this and saw him as Ashille Sun (he has grown up to be so gorgeous and manly now)
At first I was a bit hesitant in starting this drama as I see the comments labeling it as "slow burn romance" but seriously I do not regret watching this drama at all , I hardly skipped any moments (only whn the officials talking discussing the sea ban thingy) .... Really appreciate the chemistry between main leads, the love between them are so refined and sophisticated ... the ML is so gentle and patient towards FL and this main couple are so supportive of each other and their love is so strong that can withstand all the nonsense and conspiracy thrown at them ... So refreshing! Been watching drama whr either ML or FL gone muddle-headed because of slight misunderstanding (painful to watch) so this solid love is what I been missing (sigh)

Just finished watching the drama and OMG .... Fu Heng !!! ... even his last parting words are so noble, melancholic and refined. Such a gentleman and oh so heartbreaking .... Personally I think this means that he is making a promise to Ying Luo to meet him in next life and make good of his promise that he cannot fulfil this lifetime. And with Ying Luo's answer to him saying yes while watching his smiling image , I take it that Ying Luo loves him most deeply too

Ep 58 : Fu Heng loves Ying Luo wholly and completely .... his love for her is so pure, noble and selfless ... He knows that he has missed his chance in being with her but instead of going bonkers about it, he chose to support her no matter what (soulmate : no words needed) The scene when he urged her to go back and win the Emperor's heart back shows how magnanimous his heart and love for her (sigh)
But seriously though, the women who vied for him are all cray cray .... Consort Chun and Er Qing are totally sicko ... only one thing that I get disappointed up until now with this drama is : Er Qing died too easily ... I was so looking forward for her to die a miserable death :/

Been putting off Yanxi Palace because I don't know how my reaction will be seeing him half bald ... lol ... but he is still HAWT as hell. yepz definitely worth watching ... I kinda just realised that all of Xu Kai's dramas have badass female leads who have their own strong minds :p I haven't watched Falling Into Your Smile and Arsenal Military yet because I still want to watch Xu Kai in costumes, not ready to see him in modern days yet ... lol
