I don't usually comment on BL's that are still airing or that I haven't finished watching yet, but reading people's…
I totally agree with you! I am so obsessed with this series because of the interesting plot and the undeniable chemistry between Force and Book. I became a fan of this couple and I am hoping that they have a fandom name in the future.
I never compared this series or any series with Bad Buddy. I find Bad Buddy to be okay. There are some well-directed episodes and the acting of and the chemistry between the two leads on-screen are just some of the things we cannot deny. I just wish that those who cannot move on from Bad Buddy do not constantly and annoyingly compare it with Enchante.
For your second and third point, I agree as well. Considering that this is Book's and Force's first series, I find their acting relatively okay. I think that they casted Book and Force excellently in reference to the prince and the fox in The Little Prince because Book really acts and looks like a prince and Force really looks like a fox. Acting-wise, I think Force is doing great. He does not act awkwardly and his mannerisms and facial expressions are consistent. In terms of that for Book, I just hoped that he stepped up more in his acting when he is interacting with the other characters. When he's in a scene with Force, he acts better. Maybe because Book is very close with Force. I also like Egg's acting!!! I hope to see this kid in other BL series because she's entertaining.
Lastly, I really love the plot so much. I am very invested in knowing who Enchante is because I really have no idea as I do not want to be spoiled by researching online or by reading the novel. If there is something that I think the director and writers should have done is that they should have made the conversations of Theo and Enchante longer and more interesting so that the audience would get why Theo is so persistent in knowing who Enchante is. To be honest, I really can't fully understand why Theo gets too curious in discovering the identity of Enchante. I do hope that there would be a clearer view of Theo's interest in Enchante.
Nonetheless, I really love this series and ForceBook so much!
Gawin's acting moved me. When he started crying even though I don't know the reason behind his tears, I started tearing up. That whole Dan-Yok scene was powerful, breaking the taboo that nudity solely arouses sexual tension. In this series, nudity is represented and portrayed as art, as something that reflects the vulnerability of a person. Kudos to the writers, director, and the actors!
This series has somewhat a parallelism with The Little Prince. Theo is the little prince, who is naive and innocent that's why he always needs to be protected. Akk is the fox, as represented by the toy fox in the series. He will somehow make Theo realize why he loves his rose, which I think symbolizes Enchante. The fox also became tamed by the prince, which in the series symbolizes Akk's growing love for Theo as they spent more time together. In The Little Prince, the prince discovered a garden of roses similar to the prince's rose. I think the several roses represent the four guys who will pursue Theo.
The little prince eventually leaves his rose because the rose lied to him by telling him that he is unique and one of its kind, making the little prince doubt his love for the rose. In the series, I think the prince (Theo) will return to the fox (Akk) because he realizes that he really do love the fox and not the rose.
Also, Force's display picture in Twitter shows him hugging the toy fox and his name also has a fox emoji.
God I am getting so excited on how this series will turn out!
Again, I love everything about the series. I cried several times during Ep 5. What really bothers me are the FLASHBACKS; there's just too much of them that it cuts off the emotions from the present scenes. Nonetheless, I still like the slow pacing and Nut's pauses every time he speaks, I am hoping for a happy ending, but this thought kind of died down when Phob gave Nut the flash drive containing his "memories". Damn, I am so excited for the next episodes.
Watching the interview at the end of EP 4, you can see that Man and Title are so excited to talk about the series and they are so comfortable with each other. I really think that adds to the emotional depth of the series.
OMG EP 4 IS SO GOOD! I thought I'm not going to cry this episode but I was wrong. The script, OST, and acting really go well with each other. I really hope more BL fans will discover and watch this series. So excited for the next episode <3
I HAVE NO ISSUE WITH ANYTHING IN THIS SERIES - I LOVE THE SLOW PACING, THE SCRIPT, THE STORY, THE ACTING, AND MOST ESPECIALLY THE SOUNDTRACK. THE SONGS THEMSELVES ALREADY MADE ME FEEL THE EMOTIONS OF THE CHARACTERS AND THE GRAVITY OF THE SCENE -
EXCEPT THE FLASHBACKS 😑😟 A SCENE WAS JUST PLAYED LIKE SECONDS AGO AND IT WAS AGAIN SHOWN WHILE NUT WAS CRYING BEFORE TALKING TO KONG ON EP 3.
NONETHELESS, THE SERIES IS VERY PROMISING IN TERMS OF THE STORY. I THINK I NEED TO SAVE UP ON TISSUES BECAUSE I AM FEELING THAT I AM GOING TO CRY AGAIN SOONER OR LATER ON THE NEXT EPISODES.
