Started watching it and itās sooooooooooooooooo problematic. A few examples in next comment due to spoilers
1st episode: Sexual harassment scene (a misunderstanding but couldāve been real) where ML tries to guilt the FL out of complaining to the police because it will cause discomfort to other people on the bus! WHAT?! And then thereās some serious homophobia involved, especially coming from the ML. Tons on stereotypes too, but I could overlook those. Then we Also had a man tell a woman he dumped her because she wouldnāt sleep with him, the ML ātrainingā the FL to become more like a woman by water boarding her and locking her in the closet followed by explaining why women should pretend they donāt eat and just watch the man eat during dates ⦠all this in just a few episodes and off the top of my mind. Thereās just so many problematic things in this drama lol. Not sure if I can continue.
I watched him in quite a few shows but it may surprise some, the one that really got me was actually lovestruck in the city. I think itās underrated and his acting in it was superb. I know a lot of people prefer him in action, but I think the vulnerable moments are actually his forte.
I love both leads! Excellent casting choice. They deliver this mature, emotionally developed chemistry that is so rare to find in kdramas. Outstanding show so far. Highly recommend!
Looking through my now adult eyes, I must say that I absolutely loved all the choices the writer made in the story, every twist and turn. it felt like the creatorsā love confession to youth and the joy and angst of growing up through memories submerged in the beautiful and warm colors of nostalgia. I for one enjoyed Every minute of this show, beginning middle and end. Nothing fell short, everything was well thought through and added meaning and cohesion to the story. Truly superb writing, directing, cinematography, 0ST and acting. I wouldnāt change anything about it, not a single thing.
Agree. But on the other hand, it can be a healing for those hopeless ones.
Not a kdrama so I hesitated mentioning it. It was Bojack Horseman. The only show I ever watched more than once. First time I watched it it shattered me into pieces. Second watch helped me put the pieces together. We should never underestimate the healing power of excellent writing.
How is the acting here so good? The casting is perfect to the t. No small roles here, all actors deliver exquisite performances even if they only get a few min screen time. I mean, wow! Bravo
