No way. I decided to try this because Son Yejin is my favourite but this drama is a big flying 🚩 the scene…
Such a problematic scene. Amongst so many others. It’s just ahhhhh what where they thinking writing all these things back then?

Title Personal Taste Spoiler
Started watching it and it’s sooooooooooooooooo problematic. A few examples in next comment due to spoilers
1st episode: Sexual harassment scene (a misunderstanding but could’ve been real) where ML tries to guilt the FL out of complaining to the police because it will cause discomfort to other people on the bus! WHAT?!
And then there’s some serious homophobia involved, especially coming from the ML. Tons on stereotypes too, but I could overlook those. Then we Also had a man tell a woman he dumped her because she wouldn’t sleep with him, the ML ā€˜training’ the FL to become more like a woman by water boarding her and locking her in the closet followed by explaining why women should pretend they don’t eat and just watch the man eat during dates … all this in just a few episodes and off the top of my mind. There’s just so many problematic things in this drama lol. Not sure if I can continue.

Person Ji Chang Wook
Lovestruck is actually my favorite drama out of all his dramas. Unfortunately the format seems to turn many off.…
Glad to hear that I’m not the only one who thinks that!

Person Ji Chang Wook
I watched him in quite a few shows but it may surprise some, the one that really got me was actually lovestruck in the city. I think it’s underrated and his acting in it was superb. I know a lot of people prefer him in action, but I think the vulnerable moments are actually his forte.

I love both leads! Excellent casting choice. They deliver this mature, emotionally developed chemistry that is so rare to find in kdramas. Outstanding show so far. Highly recommend!

Title Twenty Five Twenty One Spoiler
Looking through my now adult eyes, I must say that I absolutely loved all the choices the writer made in the story,…
And that includes the wonderfully realistic ending. When you were young, your first love is something very powerful. You don’t always end up with that then soul-mate with whom you have that powerful bond. When you’re young, everything feels like forever. But time has the power to mute even your forevers. And It’s not a bad thing, it’s like the show said: when we grow up we learn how to bend instead of break. Something that used to feel like all or nothing to us, ends up being a fond memory of our youth’s naĆÆvetĆ©. Being immersed in their story and heartbroken that it ended was a wonderful trick by the creators that allowed us to go back in time and experience those emotions and their poignance as if we were back in time, heartbroken for our own lost first love.

Looking through my now adult eyes, I must say that I absolutely loved all the choices the writer made in the story, every twist and turn. it felt like the creators’ love confession to youth and the joy and angst of growing up through memories submerged in the beautiful and warm colors of nostalgia. I for one enjoyed Every minute of this show, beginning middle and end. Nothing fell short, everything was well thought through and added meaning and cohesion to the story. Truly superb writing, directing, cinematography, 0ST and acting. I wouldn’t change anything about it, not a single thing.

Not a kdrama so I hesitated mentioning it. It was Bojack Horseman. The only show I ever watched more than once. First time I watched it it shattered me into pieces. Second watch helped me put the pieces together. We should never underestimate the healing power of excellent writing.

How is the acting here so good? The casting is perfect to the t. No small roles here, all actors deliver exquisite performances even if they only get a few min screen time. I mean, wow! Bravo
