Burning will leave traces, they will know some message was received. Swallowing makes it go to poop. No one really inspects prisoners' poopies. In some dramas (even non-asian and modern shows), you see spies putting together burnt paper and still getting to figure out the message. So swallowing messages you don't want read is quite common in dramaland. Although I have not seen a single person do this in real life.

She eventually finds her softer side through this journey. But that you feel she is cold and too mature is because that is her character. You don't realize it but LSS was able to depict her character well for you to feel that way. I don't see any other actress being Ren Ru Yi, especially not those younger actresses you mentioned.

Strong FL, Strong ML + mature relationship + talks things out + badass tandem fighting Fake Prince starts off weak but grows and by 2/3 of story is pretty strong and regal Characters have good camaraderie and supports each other (while laughing together sometimes at each other)
So you'll have a good dose of romance, a fun crew that will make you laugh, characters that show growth, great fight scenes
