That’s a totally predictable plot twist, otherwise their family life would just be far too happy and peaceful. I reckon either SH or NM will end up having an affair next. Their relationship with YJ has to break down somehow, just to keep the story moving forward.

I'm not really a fan of how KBS dramas look, MBC's camera work always seems better and the angles just feel nicer.

To be honest, I kind of wanted to see them not save that kid and skip the bone marrow donation. It would’ve created way more drama between the two families. Right now, the good guys aren't really breaking down or suffering enough, so it’s a bit dull for me.

It’s not about clapping or scolding her. JN needs to reflect on what she did that drove SR to make that choice. Sure, SR is super emotionally manipulative, but in this world, they’re the only family each other has left. They only have each other to lean on, a concept I reckon some people just don't get.

They don't really get what a deep bond is, but you and I do. Family means that no matter what mistakes they've made in the past, you just instinctively want to stick up for them. People from some countries honestly don't think this way, it's just a difference in how people are brought up in different places.

It's like right now, if DH were to pick on JN, SR would naturally step in to defend them. That's the kind of automatic, unconditional support family gives. They just don't understand why JN should do the exact same for SR, because the whole concept is completely foreign to them.

A lot of people here hate SR, but I'm with you on this. I really don't see what gives the daughter the right to treat her mum like that. Anyone else can say what they like about SR, but JN of all people shouldn't be treating her mum that way.

I guess it's just a difference in values across different countries.

It’s probably because they’re blood relatives that JN feels she can treat SR even worse. She knows that no matter what she does, SR will just take it, even if it hurts her. Meanwhile, JN acts like a total saint towards everyone else. Honestly, she’s so typical, she just takes her family’s kindness for granted and never thinks to give anything back. It's just that some viewers refuse to get that this is a common reality in Asian family dynamics.

Honestly, I reckon that’s exactly what the show's title is trying to get across: being blood-related doesn't mean you'll have a good relationship, and not being related doesn't mean you won't. But people here hate SR so much that they don't even stop to think why the writer set up JN and SR’s dynamic this way, they just say anyone who thinks like us must have something wrong with them.

Plus, on a personal note, I love complex, flawed women who actually feel human, and someone like SR feels far more real. Saintly female leads are just ridiculously fake. Roles like JN are only slightly less hated than purely evil villains like DH, though.
