omg i was expecting like a super mediocre drama based on all the comments here but I loved it! It super reminded me of Princess Silver level of impressive scheming plus the acting was on point and it had a super more modern twist where their thinking and response to the drama is way more realistic and appropriate both from the ML and the FL which made me like it even more! Even the change of story mid-way through was still good to me, so if anyone is hesitating to watch I definitely would give this one a try since everyone has different tastes and you never this one may be yours like it is mine :) (p.s. to be fair I binge watched it so it didn't get confusing at any point to me but this is super duper long so u deff have to have time on ur hands, but there is some fast forwarding u can do if u don't care about action scenes like i don't so that at least shortens it a small bit lol) (p.p.s i deff agree w/ everyone tho about Bai Lu, she was just like super duper on point with her acting like amazingly convincing)

She didn’t refuse but somehow she never asked about why the ML needed her and what sickness his sister must have had. Like her finding out the sister was sick at all at the last min makes it super apparent that it was the ML that cared about her the whole time and she didn’t know or care or get interested in his business at allll. I get the cultural Chinese idea of guy being protector and spoiling girl but like this whole idea of girl doing absolutely nothing to help the guy or doing like small things as if they’re the equivalent of the big stuff the guy does and then the rest of the time the girl just taking all the guy’s care of her as expectation with no appreciation. It’s all simply too much lol like suchhhhhh culture clash - this one doesn’t do it the worst but it’s not so special of a fantasy drama and it just leaves you with this meh feeling at the end - cus oh the FL is the healer and so nice but then at the end you look back and it’s like pause - did this FL really never save anyoneeeeeeee this whole drama? Her mom saved a bunchhh of people and she didn’t save anyoneee but spent the whole of the drama with everyone looking after her …..lol so yea aftertaste of this drama is super meh truly best to just quit ASAP at like ep 13-15 or some such - the rest just slowly passes by and u forget the shine of the beginning cuteness
