🤔 Not to throw anyone's opinions away, but it seems like slmost everyone here is saying that XZ should have played the ML. However, we need to remember that this was only his third drama. His career didn't skyrocket until the Untamed was made, so he honestly wasn't well known enough. The casting director probably wasn't sure he was experienced enough for the ML.
I'm rewatching this for the 2nd time. Now, I love the Grand Chancellors character, and how that story plays out. However, when "wife beater Wang" is on screen, I get so disgusted by him, it actually makes me feel ill! I just keep trying to focus on the character, but it's hard for me - especially the scenes where he is really trying to woo Yong Fu. Is anyone else here having the same issue? 🤬🤬🤬
💯!!! I just finished rewatching Imperial College (for like the 5th time 😉), and I thought the depth his acting and the emotions he pulled from me was AMAZING in NPE. I've only re-watched clips from that one. I almost needed therapy the first time because of the ending. I actually like the Emperor's storyline with Tilan a bit more than Shifu and Haishi.
He responded and apologized on his Weibo when it all went down. However, it's been removed recently. I personally feel that if they were on a break it's not cheating. What a vindictive person! Secretly recording their conversation on what should have been private, then putting it out on the web where netizens can steamroll his entire career! It was a pretty 💩 move if you ask me! 💯
