I started this drama with high expectations. Because my timeline was full of it. Soooo im on episode 6 now and tbh the chemistry is not chemistrying for some reason. Idk why but to me, its not clicking.... I love the vibe of this drama tho...except for the romance part i think it will be good watch...I cant get the hype about the couple yet, but i think its just my opinion.

Finished this drama two days ago and i still can't move on. Lixun and Zhuyun are a once in a lifetime couple. I totally understand some might not necessarily love lixun but I can't help falling for him (just like zhuyun!). The more you watch the drama, the more you will get to know how broken lixun is. Everything he went through since childhood made him so damaged. He was so afraid to let people come into his life, see his vulnerability.  So, he pushed people,  out of “pride" some might say but i personally think it was out of “Fear". He couldn’t afford one more attachment. He wanted to be successful without having any weaknesses. To him, weakness is the people he loves. But no matter how he tried, Zhuyun was the one he couldn’t stay away from. She had taught him how to live again. And she didn’t even try to ‘fix' him, just being with her made him so human. His heart was always soft, he just hid it away. With Zhuyun, his heart was protected, his princess protected his heart. After he was released from jail, he was so rude to zhuyun. It broke my heart. I wanted him to say sorry to zhuyun. He should've never chosen the way he did to revenge for his sister's death, he should've thought about zhuyun. But then again, his mindset wasn’t like a normal human, it was so damaged from the beginning. And even though he was ready to destroy himself, he couldn't risk zhuyun's life to destroy. So he pushed her away. Lixun had always shown off that he is the best. But to him, Zhuyun is someone much more than “best". He knows she deserves so much more, and he doesnt deserve her. So he tried pushing her away again after 3 years.  He didn’t want to give himself another chance cause he knew he didn't deserve her. But after knowing how she had been living the past 3 years, he stopped being a jerk. I think this character's growth started here. Lixun had never had someone who cared for him. His plan was to suffer alone but when he got to know zhuyun suffered more than him, he just let her love him again. And that was his greatest act of love. ❝If you are by my side, I suffer no loss❞ And what to say about my girl Zhuyun? She is literally the greenest forest. I saw some comments saying she shouldn’t have been so easy to lixun. But how can she not? Thats just how she is. Thats how her love is. So pure and loyal. Her unconditional love led to lixun finding his way back to himself.This couple really hits different. I can write 1000 pages more for them😭Thank you for reading. 💙

Sadly i havent watched any of his works...But i will surely be a fan after this one.
