Kissing does not make something romantic it really doesn't but it adds more feeling to it even just a kiss on the cheek can enhance the display of chemistry between the leads and sometimes it's hard to differentiate if they are just close friends or in a romantic relationship if the actors don't have enough chemistry and just a kiss can even conform the relationship to the viewers it doesn't need to be a deep, long or a French kiss just a peck can do and Asian dramas usually don't even do those types of kiss but just a dead fish kiss and even that sometimes adds more of romantic vibe than other types of kisses I mentioned I respect the actor but if he wants to do this he shouldn't sign up for these types of dramas that requires him to be intimately close with someone else and if he feels that it will ruin his marriage then they need to have a discussion about trust and that this is his job and he is an actor of course his wife could get jealous but not so much to ruin their marriage
