yes please do! you won’t regret it. I watched “to love” and now this and I just get the same vibe. If you like suspence and romance of a mature couple then you will like to love. One of the best modern c-drama of 2021

Thank you for sharing your opinion. I watch this because of Shawn Dou and just finished the first episode. I had my doubt about the FL and I am glad to read your opinion about her. It confirms and conveys my thought/feeling. I also don’t feel the chemistry between them.

Because of “To Love” I watched this drama but this one is not as good. There is totally no chemistry between her and the ML. So tedious and detached unlike “To Love” which I really love!!

Remarkably there are a lot of scenes taken in the rain. Especially scenes in Shanghai.

I always saw myself as someone who loves happy ending and I do! That was what made me read your article. Nevertheless, after reading it I realized I’ve watched most of the drama’s mentioned above and also love a couple of them. So what am I? Am I a happy ending kind of person or sad ending? When thinking about it I figured myself out to be one who simply loves a good ending which does not necessarily equals to a happy nor sad ending.

Despite your warning, I dared myself to watch “Nothing Gold Can Stay”. The summary captivated me which is why I decided to give it a try and looking back I do not regret my decision at all. Personally, it is certainly one of the best historical c-drama out there. Even though the ending is sad, it is a good one because it is still realistic and well-fitting to the story. As a result it did’t leave me feeling empty and heartbroken afterwards. The good storyline, the amazing performance from all the actors, the chemistry between the leads, the soundtracks make this drama one you don’t want to miss out. This gold will stay in my heart for a long time just like Scarlet Heart Ryeo.

Thank you for writing this because of it I found two gems, ‘Where the lost ones go’ and ‘Mysterious love’. I love both of them mostly the first one. If you like these drama then I can recommend ‘To Love’ from 2020. Lin Geng Xin from Princess Agents is the ML there and Gai Yue Xi is the FL. For me is ‘To Love’. one of the best modern c-drama.

Thanks for this review. I watched this drama and I got just the same feeling as you. Especially your opinion about the female lead. She is so beautiful but too reserved. It was okay to be reserved at the beginning but not when you are already in relationship or even marriage to each other. I also detest the scenes in which she refuses to be touched. To me such behavior is not normal so I am glad to read that someone else shares my feeling.
I had seen another drama of Sung Hoon - "Secret Romance" and it is my favorite.

totally agree .. I dropped it too, didn't go further than episode 4.

Nicely written and I totally agree with you. I watched two of these three and for me Secret is one of the best. The first drama that I binge-watched and the first drama where I cried.
