I think Rang hao just realised his master cares for him dearly. I think this is what he refers as mortal heart( like personal happiness, sadness etc). Previously he just thought she just values about the peace of three realms, nothing more. Hence he thought being with her is enough for him. Now that he realised she cares for him just like him. That's enough for him to happily leave this world .This is how I interpreted it .
This is my review of the last two episodes.

35th episode broke me. Them having that heart to heart on that bridge and him tying that lock.... Few tears might have left my eyes. "Although she's gone , I'll never forget her"😩😩. Like can somebody get me a dfqc pls. If i was XLH, i would've ceased my act and hugged him right then and there. That anticipating moment when we get to know xiyun is in fact xiao lan hua....uff I heaved a big sigh of relief!! Then her trying to make him smile (which is their thing) i just had this bigass smile on my face.
Dongfang Qingcang trying to change his beloved's fate by sacrificing himself... Aaah , what a noble thing to do. Dylan did an extraordinary job playing tai sui when they were having that one on one convo. Those expressions and gestures.. just chef's kiss!! Then comes "It is my mission to save you"😫. Like dfqc, can you pls give us a break!! stop killing us with your one-liners. Coming to the war, i got goosebumps when moon tribe joined shuiyuntian on the battlefield to help subdue Tai Sui. Looking back, dfqc has come so far.. From not having the ability to feel to become the only person who can wield glazed fire(which only the most comapssionate of people can attain) . I might have shed a tear there too.
Coming to the end, the message of love. How love can change most deceitful, hateful people into a better version of themselves. I love how the whole theme of this drama is Love. Props to the team for never deviating from that message . Then that message how friendship can go beyond status , gender and racial differences. I then realized i was watching some very good content put together by very wise people. What more can i ask from a drama?!
Finally, i would say i am overall satisfied by the ending. Xunfeng changed for the better. Rang Hao got his redemption. Shangque and Jieli ended up together. CH and dayin have becomes buddies and working on their dreams. I just wish we had more of dfqc and xlh. Although the kiss was good , i just wish they had a heart to heart convo or atleast one dialogue between them. We deserve a special episode of them just being in love.
I am gonna miss CangLanJue so much. I dont think i am gonna move on from this anytime soon. I think i am gonna just rewatch this for a good year.
