Ive wtch more than 70 cdramas.. so... i hve bit of uneasy feeling and theory when the character hve kind of bckstory ... like.. wei zhao is act of service kind of love language.. he doesnt talk much but he did silently for jiang ci. Like today ep.. when jiang xi struggling with her tools.. he cme and finish her work.. im crying.. coz wei zhao is lonely and wounded soul.. he lost all love since kids.. nobody teach him real love..except his parents .. he go through it all alone.. being an official.. coz his coping was REVENGE.. he lives for that... so jiang ci was like a warmth hug tht gave himlove, and empathy and common sense .... so he silently treat her like she is his own life... most precious thing... he slowly giving in... and soften . I mean.. this type of ML usually will have not so good ending, 😂😂😂😂 . The plot,the.character.. the attchmnt .. was made like that to be impactful 😅
Am i the only one who feel sad at scene when wei zhao silently helping jiang ci ? Like he do it silently... and do wht he wouldnt do... protect and observing her... the BGM made the scene more heartfelt

Omgee sameee... when i asked recomndtion for xian xia.. few times the suggest destiny of white snake.. but it took me no intrest coz his appearance not my cup of tea.. but then.. im so addicted to xian xia genre so i try wtch it.. and im hooked.. and the first thing made me.hooked was his expressive eyes .. from then, my view of him totally change .. and like you i wtch anything with him in it.. and also drop or hold few ... coz the dramas was bad

Send to slavery and prostitution.. and the country kept supressing ur clan, and the so called peace talk there was a criminal from ur country who bring harm to ur country, wht u wnt to do is just abduct him.. but then a girl came ruining ur plan, u dont know her but u think she is a threat.. u always cruel and u just stab her, imagine being the girl who know nothing, but get trapped because u reckslessly barge into the peace talk ,and suddenly met with ruthless assasin, this is from both POV . Like they said LIFE is not always black and white, . Wei zhao is ruthless in early episode for what he did .. its wrong.. but his country suffering hell... living but not living... and jiang ci made him know love, patient, while from jiang ci POV who character is empathy but strong and free will, she just demand TRUTH AND JUSTICE, so wei zhao hve same stance with her its just that jiang ci use her love and empathy.. with more soft method . While wei zhao his power and ruthlessness, and i cn see how they complement with each other, cn see wei zhao hve soften lil bit and jiang ci has became more wise and use her empathy at right situation and people.
Anyway... i just cn feel pity and bit sadness.. when the scene where wei zhao just keep bearing pain by himself.. like when he being stab.. he treat hisoiwn wound.. when his bck hurt he also hide it.. and he also try bandage wound on his hand by his own... then i remmber the bckstory of wei wuxia.. from kids he doesnt hve pampered life he live in hiding with his sister till they got caught separated and he send to slavery... . And came jiang ci to his life... like a soulmate she once said "why u want to act tough.." she understood him bit by bit but deeply
