Frankly I don't like this part. Like, he is family now, how can you treat him this way? This is a disapointed part of this wonderful drama.

Congrats LS, she's my girl ! I have seen so many angsty chinese stories with mother-in-laws and servants bullying the poor daughter-in-law. Such a badass and strong girl. I love the script !

Their characters are really interesting but there were not many romantic scenes : I have wished for some very chinese-like, poetic kind of love. The royal scene were really great but their arc does not stress enough on the couple. Too bad.

When a couple calls each other names, it shows that they have reached a more intimate level in japanese culture. But it's not the case in chinese culture. As you see, CA still calls KN "sanniang" (the third sister) even after their wedding. In HD's case, calling him "Husband" will sound more official, "San Ge" (third brother) is more endearing. I understand it in that way.

I LOVE the final scene of HD and SLX's story. He is on the horse leading toward his home with HD in the wedding carriage right behind. People congratulating him (He has done so much for everyday people. Now he has learnt how to appreciate this connection with them). HD smiling inside and here comes the sweet childhood scene_ they did meet each other when they were young. HD, who has been feeling neglected since she was a little girl, can be confident because SLX cares for her and protects her. She also has the recognition she longs for. The final zoom on SLX, beaming is great : he allows himself to be happy, thanks to HD.
How will I get a better romance story after this one ? 😭
This drama is great, and the next arc will be really fun, for sure !

Yes, I think both actors handle very well those scenes, with a more reliable story. I wonder if the heart of the producer is in this story, the whole drama is great but here, it is just perfect !
