I have so many thoughts about this drama, but in sum, it's an excellent depiction of human nature and interpersonal relationships. Although the pace was slower than I'd like it to be, the lessons it taught needed to go at that pace, and I'm satisfied. Thank you so much for the link - the show was so good! I heard that the 15-episode version is "cut" while the 40-episode version is "uncut", but found that both had the extra scenes in the last episode of them frolicking around with their children, so it seems like both of them are the same, just truncated vs not. I have been thinking this since the earlier episodes but... Did the author intend to write subtext between Lao K + Lao Mao and Pope + Liang Sheng? I am sensing major vibes for these two pairs...

The words used actually translate more accurately to proud (骄傲) and tsundere (傲娇), someone who presents themselves as unfriendly and blunt but is actually warm and tender inside. I think Tong Yao is proud in the sense that she believes what she did was right, while Cheng-ge is the tsun.

I just realised that Yang Xia is the Chief Producer for this drama! No wonder it's so good - Yang Xia did such great work for The Untamed, I can't wait to see the other shows under her belt. Also, I just saw the trailer for Episode 26, and ZGDX lost at the finals for the national championship? Ai Jia was the one who said it. Ahh, I can't wait for Thursday...!! I wish Tencent / Youku had an option for subscribers to release all the episodes at once.
