I would like to recommend Royal Feast, even I love it more than Story of Yanxi Palace. Furthermore it has less angst than Story of Yanxi Palace. Both dramas are one of my all time favourites now.

The rating here is irrelevant for me. I personally love Royal Feast more than Story of Yanxi Palace. I really think that Wu Jin Yan is born as a female lead of historical drama. I can't enjoy watching her in modern drama much. She plays as a strong and smart character in both drama, but in Yanxi Palace she is bold and able to beat all her enemies, while in Royal Feast she is very kind and wins the hearts of all people, even her enemies eventually love her.
