KHEMJIRA delivered what the BL world has been missing. I was honestly skeptical at first — horror and BL? That sounded like a disaster waiting to happen. But dear lord, Khemjira shattered all my doubts. It’s now one of my absolute favourite series, not just within BL.
It’s a perfect blend of The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor. The early episodes had just the right amount of scares, gradually giving way to emotions that left me wanting more by the end. The plot was so well thought out — not a single filler scene or unnecessary character. The soundtracks were beautiful, the chemistry and acting were flawless — it had everything I appreciate. Khemjira is truly a masterpiece made.
I actually really enjoyed this show. The production was fantastic, the soundtracks were on point, and it featured some of my all-time favourite actors. It was dramatic and wild — a thrilling ride from start to finish. As an avid fan of this genre, this one definitely goes on my favourites list. Also, we need to talk about Zee and Nunew’s chemistry. They weren’t even the main couple, but they might as well have been. And Boss? He was serving visuals (and expressions) every time he was on screen. Net had an amazing aura too. I’ll be eagerly waiting for Season 2!
I don't know what has happened to First ever since The Heart Killer, but he has become much more handsome. He was already so pretty, but now he's really handsome and masculine; I love watching him.
Let me just say — the casting, especially for Hua Yong, is chef’s kiss. Huang Xing fits the role so perfectly it’s almost unreal. When he’s in that softer, omega mode, there’s something so gentle and pretty about him — I actually catch myself pausing the screen just to look at him. There’s a scene where he’s surrounded by women, and somehow, he’s still the most beautiful one there.
Then he switches, when he is all Enigma, his entire energy changes, like suddenly he’s so intense and psychotic. But dear lord, he just becomes so much more handsome and masculine. It’s wild how he can shift like that and make both sides of Hua Yong feel completely real.
This was an alright show. But I did thoroughly enjoy the LeoWon journey. The participants in this season felt quite dull apart from a few, like Li Zihao and Na Yunseo. I think it's an editing style issue, tbh.
I went ahead and watched the series without reading the comments, and I’m so glad I did. The premise itself is complex yet deeply poignant, and despite that weight, the series as a whole felt heart-warming. My only reservation was that the actual version of Xia Cha looks a bit too much like an ordinary grandpa, which was slightly off-putting. But aside from that, I absolutely loved everything about Xia Cha and Hai Yuan.
For Xia Cha, he met three versions of Hai Yuan within a single lifetime, while Hai Yuan lived through three entirely different ones — first as the young master Xia Cha was close to as a child, second as his wife, and finally as HY. I found the story original and beautifully told, and I really enjoyed the production starting from episode 2 onward. The happy ending was the perfect touch.
I was kinda turned off by the comments at first, but I still gave it a shot and honestly, thank God I did. The story itself isn't anything super crazy, but it felt real, and the leads had mad CHEMISTRY. No dramatic break-up scenes or empty misunderstandings. You can totally see their 10 years of trust and love for each other.
What do I have to do to get more Chi Cheng and Wei Wei. That said, Revenged Love is how I want all BLs to be. Less corn and more depth. I want more of this.
This drama came as a complete surprise to me. I am someone who usually prefers the romantic fluff aspect of shows or xianxia. This drama was a perfect balance of everything and honestly had the best revenge plot, and the downfall of the first villain was beautifully executed. I have never had my heart ache for a villain, but strangely enough, I felt an emptiness with this one even though I loathed the character. The romance was also beautifully handled; I initially thought it was just a minor part, but watching their story adds so much to the plot, and the chemistry is incredible too. It is a very well-made series and a much appreciated break from the norm.
This was a truly interesting watch. The show was set up quite like its name, Bizarre. They did a great job of actually bringing Kian's quirky ideas to life. I loved how free Kian was in just being himself, and I adore Jin for always standing by Kian's vision and being the backbone for them,
There are very few series that I would deem a masterpiece, and Top Form definitely holds that title. It was artistic, written, and executed perfectly. Smart & Boom were so natural, and their delivery is impeccable. It's a once-in-a-million kind of series.
