They saw that 8.9 and pulled the burners out. They did the same during LLTG too, which even dropped to 7.8, but it went up back to 9. It won't stay like this as more people watch. It's so pathetic to do something so low out of hate and jealousy, though...

Episode 2 down. OMG. That scene with Duan Wu and her mom. I haven't cried from a drama in a while; the acting was wonderful.

That first episode was great. I was pulled right into the plot. I'm also a sucker for morally grey characters and situations, so the mom is right up my alley and the ML has my interest. 2nd ml is sweet in an unobnoxious way compared to most ML's these days. I also love them not shying away from how hard a slave's life would have been, especially child slaves. It can easily become one of the best if this keeps up the details and momentum. On to the second episode!

So much unwarranted toxicity. I'm usually a silent watcher for the most part due to behaviours from fans. A tale as old as time. The only time I was truly fully engaging was during LLTG's run. It was such a positive experience—respectful debates, discussions and disagreements. Hating and creating conflict because of parasocial relationships with celebrities is such ignorant and foolish behaviour. I hope this can be like LLTG's comment section during airing

Though he does have a lot of toxic fans, the people who come here aren't really his fans; they pretend to be to sow discord among both leads' fan bases. They are fans of other actors and actresses who feel threatened for whatever reason (it's all so stupid). Self-inflicted competition. It's also usually a small number of the same folk using burners to talk to themselves. They're actually helping further the reach of this drama. So foolish...

These new posters are gorgeous, especially the one with Lusi/Duan Wu in the clam (all of hers really!), some of the best I've seen in a long time. And we finally have a date! Mark for November 1st beautiful people!

Pairing up with older, more experienced actors that won't fight her for first billing is way more beneficial to her. She gets to learn, further her craft, and build her star power. People are so foolish. This way she doesn't have traffic actors ruining things like the script because they have too much say with little talent to match it.

I'm loving Zhao Lusi's choices in dramas lately—the mature, character-driven ones. First the story of Pearl Girl then this. They both look great. I am looking forward to them both. William Chan looks great too.

We might have a next LLTG quality show. This looks really good
