It was....underwhelming ! Everything got fixed up rather abruptly (like there were no issues) but that is exactly what I predicted ( or feared ) . Sigh, it went the cliche k-drama way after all ! 😔😮💨 I guess it is my fault that hot kisses can not make up for plot inadequacies in my book. Also, why all my worst predictions are coming true these days? 😭 It was sad to see that all the conflicts were created just for drama . 😔
I will give it 7/10 and I gave 7 cause I am immensely fond of the actors, so it's my bias doing it . Any other pair, I would have given it 6 at the best . This is why we should not ask for a season 2 unless the 1st season is a part of an ongoing story/manga/manhwa .
"It felt like I didn't exist outside of Kang Seojoon"The first season mainly focused on Seojoon's life that it…
Ummm...I hope you see this as simple disagreeing but please let me put my points... Ji Woo could definitely see that SJ was terribly suffering and would do anything to get back their relationship.... Seojoon drove 8 hours everyday and slept in a freezing cold camper van just to stay near Ji Woo.. He tolerated extreme cold shouldering and rude behavior from Ji Woo yet stayed there and promoted his restaurant among the villagers No one does all these just for vanity . He knew Seojoon was sincere . Come on , Seojoon was literally groveling at JiWoo's feet ( figuratively) in their restaurant argument scene at the start of episode 6 . I think JiWoo just has a ( slightly ) sadistic side to him that reveled in some way seeing SJ like that . Plus the fact that he's extremely insecure, so it gives him validation too . Plus his guilt+self-sabotaging tendencies make for a deadly combination It certainly didn't take him to read those texts to know how much his leaving affected Seojoon . Please remember he also knew about Seojoon's abandonment issues .
They should have done it like that: Ep 1: We see them happy and in a relationship, but Ji Woo is distancing himself…
I think that would not have made any sense as Ji Woo was never distancing himself slowly. He was 100% into the relationship and made a clean break to protect Seojoon. Also I think the way they started this season, by showing them already broken up was absolutely brilliant and hard hitting . It would have been lame storytelling to show the first episode of them in a relationship. We got the flashbacks for that and they were brilliantly inserted in between present days.
They made it look like they did. I would have preferred seeing them lying in bed with their upper bodies naked…
Wait...you didn't see Blueming yet ?? Please do !! It's definitely the best of HDS, a true love poem . Shit.....did I spoil you with my above comment ? 😶
Definitely some not so wise decisions were made in the writers'/director's table regarding this season . I mean this season is fast paced yes....but definitely too much time has already been wasted on side characters that do not bear any effect on the leads' storyline . I mean yes, I loved the sassy ex ( I should say 1st ex of Ji Woo cause Seojoon is his ex too ) and absolutely adored the little girl and her mother....but too much screentime was spent on them without considering the fact that it is a limited time story and not a full length k-drama . What was even the need to show the ladies talk at night during their sleepover scene? 😐 Specially when we haven't got any pov from Ji Woo yet and we have just 4 episodes left with about 60% of total screentime already over ?? How can they even make SeoJiwoo's relationship come back from all these satisfactorily, considering the deep hole they've thrown themselves into...as I said earlier, a happy ending does not really feel happy if it isn't earned. They've amped up the angst and pain to the point that a significant portion of the fandom ( yes fans, not haters ) are not rooting for the main couple anymore and thinking they'd be better off without each other. Do the showmakers have enough time in their hands ( 132 minutes total with beginning and ending sequences ) to turn back this scenario? We shall see but the chances are not looking very promising at this moment.

But at this point I am more terrified of getting a 'happy ending' for them ! Lol, can't believe I'm saying this !!! 🤣😂😂
We can either like it or not like it.
Yes, I can clearly remember there was a shirtless kissing, cuddling and going for second round scene after their first sex.
Let's end our discussion here. 😄
