CX whispers XY’s name when he consumates their wedding, this started Xin Yue’s hate and jealousy against XY that she plotted to assassinate XY twice. But FL made CX promise to forgive XinYue when he was dying. So I guess XinYue got scot free in the end, though CX is indifferent to all his wives.

I don’t recall in the novel that he never had sex with A Nian. It only recounts his wedding night with Xing Yue. And I guess, XingYue started to hate XiaoYao after her wedding night.

Cang Xuan is so well played/acted by ZWY. I’ve read the novel and ZWY’s portrayal blew me away. The eyes, expression and tone are so on point. My favorite scenes are when it focuses on Xiao Yao and Gege. Yes, season 2 focuses on the black Emperor. Im sure ZWY will deliver an unforgettable performance. Can’t wait to see him with all his range of emotions.
