Started out well then it just got away from the original premise of the show. Still enjoying it enough to finish. Must be the leads thatās keeping me entertained enough.

Thanks for the whole spiel, but I didnāt need it. Just because I felt disconnected with the actress, doesnāt mean I Iacked the understanding. There are many actresses and actors that I donāt connect with so I donāt watch their dramas. I watched My Dearest because of NKM and gave the FL a chance. Still, she didnāt impress me.

And because I didnāt feel the connection between the leads, you assume Iāve never read and/or seen Gone With the Wind. I just found it difficult to like the FL at all, even in the previous work that Iāve seen. Miscast, in my eyes. Vivian Leigh was fantastic as Scarlett.
Finally finished this, was alright; donāt think the rating should be as high. Could have been so much better had the ML and FL actually had some connection. I felt the MLās emotions towards the FL but not the other way around. This could have been an epic love story, but it failed, mostly due to the FL, in my opinion, as I didnāt like her at all in More Than Friends either.
Watched and stayed for NKM, he is an amazing actor, the support leads were good too, like the Qing General, Crown Prince and Gu Dam.
In the end scene where it was supposed to bring about more emotions, I yawned.
On episode 5 and debating on dropping this. Thereās no chemistry, nothing exciting, more frustrating to watch. Now I understand all the dislike for this drama. Itās very bland.
After suffering through the shrieking and stupidity in Young Lady and a Gentleman, I didnāt think I had it in me to watch another 50+ episode, but Iām enjoying this very much. The FL and ML are so likable and the antagonists arenāt over-the-top like in YLG. Though, I am still fast forwarding on some side character scenes.
Loved this drama. The build up was great, but the last episode was kind of a disappointment. SHK and JSI had great chemistry, would love to them in another drama together.
