i hear you. same as well. if its a sad ending not sure i can do re-runs in the future. it will be too painful to watch again. but if its a happy ending even if open ending but hints on a happy one. then i can re-watch this everytime.

i was thinking the same thing. there should be a time for healing after closure. so best is a time skip... and they will meet again, still single. to start all over again.

omg! episode 5 was so sad. its really heartbreaking. i cant seem to see a happy ending for these two... i guess i am ok with open ending. i guess all they need is that much needed closure. the proper goodbye.

this drama is just so beautiful to watch. i cried for all 3 episodes but i still do re-runs and cry all over again. i hope this will have a happy ending. not sure if i can ever rewatch again if it ends sadly. praying for a happy ending. i mean i understand if they have to be apart for 5yrs. it always for growth as they were young back then. now they are at a mature age, i hope this second chance will give them a happy ending. hope the director is not as brutal on endings and will give hope to viewers like me.

god knows how many times i rewatched the ending and still cry hard. evertime i see Mengli's face in the end, is exactly how i was feeling. the feeling of being left behind. seeing lingsha and tianhe saying goodbye together, breaks my heart. it is a happy ending. its just as a viewer, i felt the goodbye. left me in tears. i love this drama. should recommend internation drama fan to watch it.

i do agree with you. there are drama with high rating which they think is oscar worthy.. when you actually watch for yourself, you start to question the rating? may chinese people do have different taste. so i dont use douban rating coz i am an internationa fan. to watch a chinese drama, it has to be based on my gut feeling. not on any ratings...

i downloaded the Mango Tv app. same here its not in iqiyi PH. happy i found it at mango tv. sadly once i screen mirror my phone to my tv, it cant read eng subtitles. so just watching in my phone.

dont worry i am watching this because i am shallow as well. just want to watch beautiful people on screen. but as to the reasoning and behavior of the characters, they dont make sense to me at all. its fictional.

i agree. she did portray what an assassin should be. and she is higher in rank "mei" which means she is more trained and more heartless and more focus on the job. tendencies are love will have to take a back seat. mission first before love.

honestly i think this is a sad ending. both girls are good as dead. no season2. this should not fall under "romance". i dont think so.
