I don't understand Ji Han's obsession with making his brother the CEO. Can someone explain?
As much as i understand he and his brother lost both the parents and mom's grandpa is the head of LJ,he and his brother are kinda outsiders since they are illegitimate children coz mom had a lover other than her husband. They are bought up by grandpa but they are cousins with the real husband's children, who are like vultures hating on them. Jihan can never acquire company coz of some reasons not yet clear so he wants his bro to be the one to acquire so that they can survive and live peacefully otherwise if it goes to cousins they could be thrown out and maybe that's jihan's real deep fear, to be abandoned and lose everything, again. His extreme obsession with it is coz then both of them would mean something to the family and lineage and belong coz their foundational group (parents) are no more and its his survival instinct at play. For dohan his crisis is his identity and hiding it so he doesn't care much but for jihan its everything if he can make them live with power i guess.
Thats why its sad that he is letting all that go along with his newfound love for ahjeong🥺. He really lost.

I had a rommate who was too rude and hurtful to me but u know i never could hate her coz her eyes always showed some kind of hurt and hopelessness and she always seemed wounded, i never asked but respectfully left the room and then we talked normally in hostel. Sometimes u can't hate coz u know they are projecting something and u can empathize well with. When them saying it seems more like projecting something. Idk but i feel ahjeong is always the bigger person to understand and empathize with him. She has the patience of healing traumatic people....which ML needs atm.🥺 Also she knows she is basically wrecking his lifelong plan so she is slightly in guilt that obviously he will hate her.

The way i see it is for ahjeong actually jihan is the first person who saw her worst struggles, her worst sides and she had the freedom to not try to hide any aspect of her life from him, till then she was always hiding something from her family or dohan coz she is always burdened to make them worry. I guess its the freedom she had, on top of him actually without intentions touching her soft spots like seeing all her works and praising her as his favourite actress, helping her get revenge, adviced her to keep dreaming and towards the last episodes i think ahjeong completely knew him enough to see past his rudeness and annoying behaviour as helplessness and anxiousness. I mean its actually impressive to be able to stand tall and determined in front of a neglecting grandpa and brother & scavenging cousins.
Now jihan is actually too much drenched in guilt coz of his mistake (falling in love). I guess he never saw it coming that's why he did all those reckless things before
because he is the reason things happened and mom died... grandpa seems to have only 1 child t he daughter... hence…
