Yes, you are right xuxu can just get a concubine..but the son wont be as powerful as the son born from XFN's mother and XuXu..why do you think they all dont want XFN to take over north liang. Because he will be very powerful and notorious, thats why they all wanted to kill him. Thats why xuxu and XFN's first and second sisters all wanted XFN to take over north liang not because he is the first son, but he is the only capable of rulling. In one episode xuxu said he can sacrifice his second son for XFN to rule north liang. Even if xuxu had many concubines and many son..XFN will always bethe most preffered and most capable.
