You are not alone. I am also there. They just elongated the plot like dough, but it was figured out. They showed the Chinese opera for too long during the scene when shi yi goes to Chen’s house for the first time, for the charity shi yi sang the song which was the ost and half of the lyrics were already there which was just so boring. I zoomed past it all along. Really was disappointing. One and only was the best short and amazing with just 24 eps. I was forwarding it for the most of the time for forever and ever

Same here, and the eps were elongated just too much. It could have also been 24 eps. Just to increase the time, they showed the Chinese opera, made us hear the ost by shi yi for the charity at the beginning. That drama is on hold for me. Not able to continue watching it. Will see. One and only was still the best, the feeling s were known even though were unspoken

Agreed with you. I just love the chemistry of gu chuan and jiang xiaoning , i.e, of Allen ren’s and xing fei. They would forever be my favourite cp pairing of 2021 and also tang xiaotian and xing fei but that comes second for me.

This drama is over rated because of its rare storyline where we can see the plot twist and enjoy it. It is one of the best historical dramas of 2020
