This drama is sooo good. I read many negative comments about this drama before, mostly because the visual of the main leader, they also gave negative opinions on the chemistry between the main leads and the acting of them. Thus I was hesitate but I’m so glad that I give it a chance and watch it. Otherwise I would miss a super good xianxia drama. The CGI of this is chef kiss, everyone notices this, so no need to say about it more. This drama might have the best CGI compared to other xianxia drama so far. And the thing I love about the drama the most, besides CGI, is the plot. The story is so interesting, I just can’t stop watching it. It does not only focus on love between the gods. It has a complicated story about the Ancient World of Gods, about the responsibility of Gods for their people, I love how the drama expresses those things. The drama actually builds the details about the God world and their problems, not just mentions it and turns it into some situations for the characters to show their love. This is the reason I like this much more than Ten Miles of Peach blossom and Eternal love of dream. Additionally, there is not much unnecessary scenes in this drama like many others I’ve watched before, that’s why it’s so interesting to watch. I didn’t need to skip a part at all. Speaking of acting, I like the way Zhou Dong Yu acts here. She acts really naturally, her bright smile is so cheerful, her acting is fresh and not cliché. I really want to see her in more ancient costumes dramas. I also love her chemistry with Xu Kai. After I watch this drama I honestly feel that many people bashing on Zhou’s acting and Zhou-Xu Kai chemistry is mostly because Zhou’s visual. Well I guess because of that taste of many audiences many dramas feature beautiful actors but have bad acting skill and plots with full of cliché love story continuously release. To sum up just wanna say this drama is super underrated. If you like xianxia you should not miss it.

Immortal Samsara (Yangzi, Cheng Yi) is very promising. Both main leaders have great acting skill, and their costumes in the new posters are also really eyes-catching.
The plot is very funny and interesting to watch. Nothing to complain about the acting of the cast, the roles are just like perfectly written for them, they did it so well. I love both Male and Female leader. There is just one thing I don’t like is that after the vacation, Tan Er disappears in too many episodes and it seems like she is replaced by Xi Gua to some extent. There are also some emotional scenes between Ning Yi and Xi Gua, which makes me feel that Ning Yi also has some special feelings for Xi Gua. I want more scenes for the development in the relationship between Ning Yi and Tan Er, I thought that Tan Er will fight together with Ning Yi in some last episodes, but her role just slowly fades away at the end of the drama =(( Hope in the next season Tan Er will have more scenes to show her talent and more relationship development between the two main characters. Overall it is still a good drama. I enjoy it very much and laugh so hard while watching 😂

Yup hahaaa personally I feel like every Chinese drama should be watched at at least 1.25x 😂😂 Compared to Western and K-drama I feel that C-Drama are quite slow although the plots are also good and meaningful. Guess that is their style.

Yeah seeing douban score of FAE keeps decreasing makes me feel so sad =(( Although the storyline of FAE is not perfect, I believe the acting and the special love story of the two main characters deserve a better score. Sometimes I keep asking myself if my taste is so different from many others :)

Yup I’m also impressed with that scene. When Shi Yi is drunk and acts cute, ZSC smiles but at the same time he is not completely relaxing, he is kind of worried that Shi Yi might get cold while lying outside. Sometimes I get so frustrated hearing people criticize ZSC and feel unfair for him. There are many ways of showing love, ZSC don’t say much, but he notices every details in Shi Yi’s life and cares for her.
Watching this after FAE, I think I like Allen ‘s performance in this show more than in fae. Maybe that is due to the difference in the two characters’ personality. He shows more emotions here, sometimes he is cold and strict (but not too overacting like that boss type from teenfic 😂), sometimes he is quite cute and funny. Female leader is cute, brings that bright energy to balance the personality of ML. The plot starts fresh, exciting. In overall I’m quite satisfied with this show.
Hahaa in the “bed scene” this time it is Shi Yi who say “I’m ready” to ZSC=)) Then he looks very happy and takes off his cardigan real quick 😂 ZSC seems to be more and more active. Me too. That crying scene is so close to real life, when you can’t hold your emotions any longer and start crying but don’t want your beloved ones to hear you. He uses a hand to cover his mouth so that the noise is not too loud, but also trembles while crying when the emotion is out of control. I can clearly see myself crying like that when I used to live with my mom in the same room. That scene is so impressive for me.
In the last episode this line keeps haunting me: “ The royal army is back. Why do you still stay in Pinyin? (Pinyin is where Chen died). This line reminds me of what Chen once said in the first episode: “I’m here to deliver the good news… Majesty’s army has returned.”, which makes it more heartbreaking. I’ve watched many sad Chinese drama but for me not any of them are touching like this one. They have never said they love each other, but what they do for each other is even more than that. I love everything about this drama, the love story, the acting, outfits, camera angle.
Ep.22 is too cute. Zhousheng Chen might be a little weird, but it is just his personality, he still really cares about Shi Yi in his own way. He is a realistic person, not talking much about how he loves Shi Yi, but he does pay attention to every details in her lifestyle. He cooks for her, stays awake all night when Shi Yi is sick, and back to the episode when Shi Yi is drunk and it is raining, ZC tells the old man to put up the umbrella for Shi Yi, don’t care about him. Plus when his mother says that Shi Yi is not suitable for his family, he does not speak up right away like many audiences expect him to do that, but he draws a picture to imply that he will never give up on this love. I feel that ZC in this modern life might be a little bit different from ZC in ancient life in term of personality, but his protection for Shi Yi stays the same. Their love is sweet, warm, realistic. I love this love line so much, the interaction between the two actors is also good.
