Everytime I see kim hye yoon in a new drama I'm like "she is a born actress 👏". She slips into her role so effortlessly and her versatility (snowdrop, midnight) is insane.
P.s. Don't know how this drama will turn out by the end but had to say this after watching ep 1
Why am I liking this so much😭❤️ I really thought I'd grown out of romance dramas now that I'm in my twenties they started feeling too good to be true. I was so convinced that I would never feel the same way or enjoy romance kdramas as much as I used to do in my teens but here I'm smiling like a fool all over again while watching this. This feels similar to those classic romance kdramas, they had humour but weren't fully romcom, there were various points of conflicts, imperfect main leads with a sob backstory and trash parents.
I was surprised by how honest it was! Showing celeb culture and phony perfect idol image maintenance, and saesangs…
I was surprised by how the female lead is written. She is a fan but she doesn't come across as childish or immature. She is rational and professional. As a lawyer she judges everything objectively even when the accused is the idol she admires. I love how level headed she is. She has her fan moments but keeps it within her home, outside she is a no nonsense woman who takes her work seriously and no one can boss her around.
And on top of all that her boss is so supportive of her.😭
I was really getting sick of seeing sensitive female characters all the time who end up making erratic choices. Not that it's wrong but I can't relate to them.

That's subjective
