I totally agree with you..!! Like come on what's the big deal if they want to communicate in a different language.…
Thankfully, I have you all in this page๐. I don't count on any of my friends understanding if they ever find out I watch BLs.
That reminds me. My long time bestie knows I watch movies sometimes which migjt have some gay content but she doesn't know those are mostly what I watch now and she never asked aside from the one time she found out when I was very upset by what a character did and she knew I was watching a show that upset me.
My question is for every person that complained about the English in this, did they also have a problem with Vegas…
Well, apparently, a friend above said some people had problem with vegas speaking English. That says alot about my point above๐. The problem is beyond the English merely sounding "cringe".

I have nothing against Korean content but in some people's POV those contents are cringe in our country and it's always thought of as in a negative way if you say you watch Korean content. //
Same in my country and they refer to south korea romance shows as "movies for girls". Oddly enough, they are very popular in ky country byt among women. Guys will deny watching a south korea show except it's an action movies. Some of my friends mock or teased me with it, and sometimes, when they ask, i just say "the usual". I consumed western shows most of my life before fully switching to Asian shows. I don't give af what they think but it's worse now cos I now watch BL and every single friend around me is homophobic. So they can never find out.

Why is his character speaking too much in English, is he ashamed of speaking in Thai, is he ashamed of being a Thai" BS..!! People even belittle P'Perth and P'Luke for their Thai..!! One of them is born and raised is Australia and other is literally not an Thai person..!! They bash them for their Thai..!! Like seriously what's wrong with people..!!??//
I have come to the conclusion that some people like to tell others what to do, while ignoring the fact that they actually hate being told what to do. That's why I said some of them are low-key racist.
You think the English is cringe and you can't bear it, then drop it. These actors can speak it the way they like. They are not obligated to speak it perfectly or to speak it without their accents. They want to communicate with each other in English. What's wrong with that? Is every non-English nationals who speak English ashamed of their languages? Isn't the goal of learning a language for communication? If they aren't allowed to speak it cos they aren't good at it, when and how do they improve? Thank God, no one is forced to watch the show. There are people who can't watch Asian shows because they don't want to listen to non-English languages and do not like reading subtitles. Now that some of these actors are making an effort, we have some complaining that it's cringe. Okay, then don't watch it! There's no pleasing people. As long as there are people who understands what they are saying even when they speak in English, then that's all that matters to me and those actors.
I think you don't need to apologise for telling the truth about such an important topic.Besides, those who complain…
Woah..Amazing. Years back, i tried to learn Korean. Dropped it eventually. Then subsequently, tried to learn French, Spanish and now Japanese all on duolingo. They all ended terribly ๐ญ
I love this show. Lol. Now, we're doing self reflections. I like that I'm much more comfortable watching BLs now. I remember when I first stumbled upon them a year ago and had just discovered the BL community, instead of feeling like I belonged, I feel like an interloper because I kept coming across comments online saying certain people should only watch BL and well, queer contents. I hated myself and wanted to quit. Infact, I stopped watching for a while. During that time, I did a lot of self-reflections on myself but I was lucky to meet some friends online, just like in this comment section. These people helped me stay in the BL world, and now, this comment section finally made me realize I'm not a weird person for not being turned off by gay content.
