its not only the bl industry. doesn't matter if it's bl or straight, I read enough straight novels to know. S.A…
💯💯 and it's appalling. I ran away from straight novels years ago due to romancitized SA which the commenter usually have no problem with. Only to stumble into BL and find out it's not much different. Surprisingly, many of those novels containing so much SA had no trigger warning and were not categorized as "dark romance". Imagine the horror I felt and the horror I feel now seeing how lightly BLs treat SA and how a lot of BL fans and even some actors don't take it seriously. I guess thoee who've never been victims of SA can't muster up any empathy for others.
But in the ending scene Tada said that he won't be just someone who watches him from a distance because he got…
Remember that Tada already appeared to save him in the middle of the road before Armin went back to the set where he shot that beautiful dying scene. Tada has already showed up for Armin (something he's never done before) and then after Armin shot that dying scene, that's when Tada watched the clip.
The point of going back to the past and giving a chance at life again is to correct past mistakes and not repeat…
He returned to the acting that caused his death and returned to trusting others easily//
He didn't even know he was poisoned when he died. That is an example of a mistake he had to make again in order to find out what happened before. Even if he can't trust others easily, he's still not gonna shut new people out. Afterall, he's already died once. What more does he have to lose? He wasn't gonna magically figure out everything overnight after being reborn. He will now be in the process of learning, unlearning and correcting those mistakes.
Yesterday, I did say that whatever Force helped Armin get reborn could be the one pushing Tada to meet up with Armin in this life, but now I'm thinking.
What if Tada was also reborn when Armin was reborn? This means, he probably knows Armin died already at the point when he was also reborn. It would explain why he no longer wants to just watch Armin from the side. It would explain why he's actively getting involved with him now and why is being protective of him, showing up randomly when he's in trouble because in their last life, he didn't do any of that. He was contented with just supporting Armin's career and encouraging him on that path.
Now, this theory makes me supper excited because if it is true, it changes everything for me. For a rebirth to happen, a character don't necessarily need to die before they get reborn. Something shocking or life altering could have happened. That is enough to cause a rebirth.
I was getting nervous that I'd have to stare at that awful wig for the entire past portion of the series. So far…
Also, is it just me or is TD's assistant hot AF?//
Man is so hot that I pretended he was the one actually giving Armin those flowers in the beginning. Truth be told, he could even play a second male lead love rival.
Haha yes, totally fair! My theory is just a theory—I love playing around with alternate interpretations, especially…
Haha yes, totally fair! My theory is just a theory—I love playing around with alternate interpretations, especially when the show leaves some space for ambiguity in the early eps.//
Lol, of course. We are all allowed to come up with theories. This is mine. You might turn out to be right. I might be wrong. Who knows. This is the fun with watching shows like this.
😭too bad they didn't show us his reaction to the news of Armin dying Mans must have been devastated
No, since he was reset, that life of his is almost like it never happened. Armin will be the only one who knows what happened to him. Unless Tada was reborn too along with Armin. That's the only way Tada will know that Armjn died. If this was time travelling, Tada would know that Armin died cos that timeline of theirs will still continue.
As someone who reads a lot of reincarnation and rebirth C-novels, this is right up my alley. But unlike the theories about him dreaming in coma, I don't buy that.
During the award, it's already established that Armin doesn't know what Tada looks like or even if he has seen his face in the crowd, Armin might not have associated that face with TD, so why would he dream of him so clearly in coma?🤔 (Unless I missed something in the ep)
I go more with the rebirth. His life was simply reset to 1999 when he was still a struggling actor but this time, the trajectory of their love story will go differently. It seem like whatever force reset his life is also urging Tada on, such that unlike Armin's previous life, they will meet in person this time. Tada told his assistant that "he just knew where to meet up with Armin". I'm referring to that scene where Armin stood in the middle of the road confused and Tada showed up to save him. So, that force is giving Armin and Tada a second chance at love, and this time, Armin and Tada will do it right.
Tada didn't approach Armin in person in Armin's previous life, he gave him space, and Armin died so miserably. Until Armin died, he never knew that there was someone who loved him so much. So yeah, I'm going with the actual rebirth theory. I don't think there's any mystery surrounding the reset that is meant to be solved. I think the script is pretty much straightforward. It's probably going down the revenge route- revenge on those who hurt him and him finding good love with Tada. Plus, he's gonna be so much more successful this time. He basically get to do everything all over again...this time in a much better way.
This kind of script is the bread and butter of C-novels on webnovels, wuxiaworld and the others😂
What a great first episode. Loved every minute of it.
Finally, a rich mature male lead who is not egoistic or trying to exercise his "dominance, wealth and authority" on his so-called love interest by being a grade A asshole. Tada was surprisingly shy when he met Armin at the park. I'm glad he's decided to approach Armin now. I'll rather he is more active in Armin's life than watch Armin die in the most miserable and pathetic way....again.
Are you surprised? I saw this coming a mile away.Right from when Willy would ignore boundaries and touch Babe…
inappropriate behaviour but what's worse is that no one actually believes a man can be sexualy harassed by men or women!//
And i hate it.. i hate this reasoning so much that it's giving me less and less motivation to even be in these BL spaces.
Do you know the main reason i drop shows containing SA and DV? It's not because of the content itself, but due to the reaction of other viewers. Sadly, I'm that kind of viewer that gets affected by how other viewers see the same show I'm seeing. There's just so much glossing over and victim blaming going on in this BL spaces that it's so sickening. I don't mind these elements in shows cos they can bring awareness but i hate when they aren't dealt with properly and other viewers just romanticize, sexualize and glaze over a clear case of SA.
I missed the days when I had just stumbled into BL all on my own and had no idea that the BL community existed. It was peaceful. Now, I just ask myself what the hell I'm still doing and it's getting harder and harder for me to have a discus online with other viewers cos I just know they'll mostly ruin my viewing experience. These viewers badly trigger me more than the actual SA in the shows.
I've told myself that if I am watching a straight romance and the male lead SA the female lead and it was somehow romancitize, I'll be livid and very likely dump the show. When it happens in BLs, i react the exact same way. If I can't bear to see it done to a woman, then I don't want to see it done to a man either or anybody else at all.
When I was new to BL, I was less affected and could ignore these things but now, it's very different for me. I've seen enough BL shows to know how lightly these sensitive topics are treated and how fans act like the victims are to blame and then romanticize the situation and the culprit.
OH! FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING THAT'S HOLY!! 🤯 what on earth is wrong with y'all 🤦🏻♀️ have we…
Are you surprised? I saw this coming a mile away. Right from when Willy would ignore boundaries and touch Babe inappropriately even though Babe clearly says No and pushes him away. But unlike myself who was uncomfortable with how Willy keeps touching Babe, a lot of people saw chemistry instead. You know, I come to this comment section every blue moon cos I just can't deal with the comments I find here, and at some point, if feels like you're overthinking when you point out the very problematic way many viewers think.
Take for example, in S1, Way literally SA'd Babe but people had more sympathy for the assaulter than the victim. It's why the moment I saw Willy's behaviour, I was extra extra uncomfortable. Sadly, people will still ignore this SA to ship them together.
As this point, it feels like people don't really care about SA when it involves two men. Cos to them, they find it "HOT" and sexy. They'll rather blame the victim for being weak and not resisting hard enough. But then again, even in the real world when a male SA a female, people tend to blame the victims anyway, including other women. They'll ask them, "what were you wearing?" "What were you doing there?", "but you initially agreed. You can't back out halfway." etc.
Only to stumble into BL and find out it's not much different.
Surprisingly, many of those novels containing so much SA had no trigger warning and were not categorized as "dark romance".

What's with the hubby?🤦♀️🤦♀️
But then again, even if he was reborn, will he even tell his secretary? Who would believe him?😂😂 They'll think he's crazy.
