Yeah. I personally would have preferred a human with supernatural traits since there won't be omegaverse in the show.
But how did people conclude this is an omegavere? Did the producers say that?
Or did MDL just assumed the show has omegaverse due to the original novel and they decided to add omegaverse to the tags? Because if it's so, then the tag is misleading.

It's the same for almost every BL. It's like the moment there's a side couple, the main couple get ignored. Somehow, the main couple are perceived as boring. I don't know about others but I barely even like side couples. If a show is about a main couple, I focus on them. They will demand for the side couple to have their own show but the moment their wish is granted, they again focus on the side couple in the new show🤣

Word of advice, don't worry about the omegaverse tag. It looks like the screen writers/producers have their own ideas. Just see this show as a supernatural show.
Contrary to all the excitement we've had in this page the past several days about the omegaverse tag, the show might go in an entirely different direction. You might be in for a very big surprise even if you are familiar with omegaverse.
Remember, writers owns their verse and they can do what they want with it.

Now, I find this interesting that people are so worried about the omegaverse tag, while the producers are busy writing what they want. This is why I initially said people should wait to see what happens. Writers own their verse and can do what they want with it.
I have never heard of any alpha that can absorb powers, even though I don't really read omegaverse.
I suspect the screen writers took bits and pieces from here and there to make their own plot.

If Charlie can absorb powers, I wonder if he can transfer it back?
Secondly, since he can absorb, can he like absorb from an enemy and bestow the power to someone close to him?
Thirdly, can he actually use the power he absorbed as if it were his own?

My sentiment too. Honestly aside from a show like OF, where all the couples are main couples, side couples actually take up space in the show. People start ignoring the main couple to focus on the side couples. Even right now that Pitbabe just started, people are already looking for a side couple and claiming that they don't feel anything for the main couple. What's the point of having the main couple in the show then if they will just be ignored? I bet if the side couple were given the exact same plot that the main couple are given to act, people will still prefer the side couple.
