Yes, i see it in Chinese novel too. It's very annoying there but for Korean drama, they treate Africa like one country instead of a huge ass continent with plenty countries and they love to send their rich second generation heirs there as "punishment " for disobeying them or to do philanthropist work because "Africa does not have food to eat and no water to drink" according to them.

I used to condone it but this is 2024. I had to drop a lot of shows like "Shooting Stars and Queen of Tears".

Yes, but times are changing and they have a large audience who are melanated. Some of the lines in shows comes off a bit racist and a little bit of self-hate considering that many Thai people are brown and it's a tropical country afterall.

But for the racist ones, I'm not talking about Thai shows. Korean dramas are the worst .
