When Pran turns to look at Pat, the look that Pat had, I felt like he was really trying to understand what version of Pran he might be getting at that point. Cause the last thing Pran had told him was, more like screamed at him to go talk to his dad.
So Pat just stood there, contemplating as to how to go about it and what to expect. I felt like he was even prepared for Pran to push him away again! :( Cause Pran had just confronted his mother, he cannot even fathom out what might've ensued between them. And he knows that Pran has a tendency to just hide himself away and build walls around him when subjected to confrontations like these. He did the same thing after their rooftop kiss. And when Pran just burst out and hugged him I really felt like Pat was kinda relieved at that moment. And that's when he decided he would protect this forever.... whatever happens!
Pat is and forever will be one my most fav character of all time! <3

Pat's always been fearless when it came to revealing their relationship, may it be with his friends or family. He only ever held himself back because of Pran (or that's what I always interpreted it as) It's cause he cares about him. He knows how terrifying Pran's mother is gonna be if she ever finds out about them. Probably more terrifying than whatever just ensued between him and his dad at that moment. He knows how Pran has been dreading that very moment. And he knows Pran would break down handling it alone.
I think that the pain he felt watching Pran just so shut down with fear at that moment was much more than his own fear of confronting his parents. Its the same reason why he just wanted to stay there with him, help him pick up the groceries and clear up all the 'mess' that his father just made in that place :(
