Idk I just think there's a possibility they kept the discussion scene to show it later (a bit like they did in ep 7 with Vegas' plan)

In the novel the whole reveal is confusing because Kinn's dad and Vegas' dad kept saying different versions of Porsche's father death, I won't say more....
