Looks like director has told Lee joon to act with tears in his eyes in most of the drama.he literally have tears…
Sometimes the king's pathetic appearance is a mask, and sometimes it is not, when he can allow his real emotions with bitterness and sorrow only to a few. He, on the other hand, is the king in distress here - he has been broken since his youth and wanted to make only a puppet ruler, while the real power lies with the minister and the widowed queen (who may still have once had a romantic relationship with the minister). And even though he loses a lot to the Minister now, he is still a schemer and I think still a gray character than a positive one. Lee Joon doesn't choose positive characters. Look at his filmography. He has a very specific list except for his role in Pulgasari.
Moon Lovers and Hwarang are fluff and pop. If the Hwarangs, as much as we love them, are all facepalm and toothpick…
LOL I'm aware that the narrative in Bloody Heart - have no real historical background. But that absolutely does not make the dorama a non-sagic, full-fledged sagic. Or are you saying that your beloved Hvaran and Moon Lovers(remake of a popular Chinese series) have full-fledged authenticity?
I wanna ask, this is so political and game of throne center story? Like usual Joseon drama? With old aged man…
Moon Lovers and Hwarang are fluff and pop. If the Hwarangs, as much as we love them, are all facepalm and toothpick sugar. If you don't like a particular dorama, quit rather than torture yourself with real behind-the-scenes conspiracies and intrigue. This dorama(Bloody Heart) is a real breath of fresh air, a full-fledged sagyk, not a dressed-up light love story in a historical wrapper.
Oh, man, guys. Is someone already writing healing heartbreak fanfics about FJM and HS? I still can't let go of the story and the couple. Where to look for such fics? I want to read a post-epilogue or alternate reality where the heroine is a peer ML.They deserve more happiness together.๐ฅฒWhere should I look for these fics? Who will write them at all?
Life is very often too sad, hard, and often frustrating to watch the same in a tv drama.
For me, it's more of a disappointing sad ending that could be considered open-ended if you wanted to. It doesn't have to be that someone dies as a couple for their story to be considered tragic. Of course, one could fantasize that after the young emperor's coming of age, his shifu and adoptive mother might retire together. But to me this is more of a delusional fantasy, with too little chance of being realized in reality. It's so sad to be always so close, but always so far away. It's hell and heaven for two at the same time. The drama speaks to the fact that life is anguish.
I'm not looking for full-fledged realism in dramas, as in life - real mermaids from the sea crying pearls!๐ฎโ๐จ
I am not gonna rewatch it..๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ But will definitely rewatch some FangShi scenes..
I need to cool down, but for now I'm angry about the screwed up ending.I never even drank the prepared wine for the final episodes. They didn't deserve a glass of wine to drink. Because they didn't make me feel sad or happy, just disappointed in the way they showed that man is a petty bug before fate, DUTY before country and suzerain. lol
The question above was rhetorically, and you answered me.
This bromance is worthy of a separate video!
However, Shifu's fate for me personally was more tragic in the drama than in the novel.
I will not repeat it.

Otherwise, I don't see the point in changing the ending of the novel. It's really heartbreaking, but it was so beautiful!
