Will Love in Spring just finished up at 21 episodes, I'm 17/21 so far and it's so angsty, the chemistry and cinematography is real good!

I don't think anything you are saying is wrong. You are right, marriage is a very important life decision, and you would think under any circumstance it should be autonomous to the two involved! As many as said, this is a recurring theme in many EA countries, I don't think they are saying it's something unique ONLY there, rather that it is a common theme that couples have to navigate regardless of severity. Which leads us to why this drama is starting off the way it does.

We see or FML discuss her 520 proposal and the importance of parents and childrens in union with love/marriage (in China). These things are being aired to show certain cultural aspects. But again it's a fiction DRAMA things gotta be taken with grain of salt .

it is tough/frustrating to watch, but i think that's what this drama is trying to show to begin with?

as you said that communication between the two is lacking lol but alas they gotta set it up for the ML to come in bwahahaha

just watched episode 2, and wow. I already mentioned how phenomenal the pilot episode was, but episode 2 was just as solid! I did read some of the webtoon (a poor translated one though) and it seems to be somewhat loosely following the story (correct me if i'm wrong!) . Haven't read the OG source material (novel), so could be following that. Either way the writers are definitely taking their own spin on it, but I am actually loving what they are doing :)

agree? idk if it's the pacing but I feel like every episode is leaving me desiring more, and not in an anticipatory way :/ like the few recent episodes continue to leave off on an un-enjoyable plot point. I went into this drama seeing the main leads, and having positive hopes for this show! With all that being said, I 'm on episode 3 and I really hope that the ML goes through a significant major character development because he is just too brutal, it's extremely unlikeable for me! There's too much that hes doing that is so insensitive and selfish to his work team, and our FML. I hope our FML gains a bit of her composure/a backbone and goes through major development too. I see that there's going to be 36 episodes so a lot can happen in that time but dang this lead is just getting on my nerves right now! LOL

(hope no one takes this as a negative comment i'm trying my best to like the show so far)

episode 20 was so beautifully written from start to finish! i am loving this drama so dearly!
