Actually someone wrote this in comments section i want to share this haha .the DG TTJ didn't think of her since he sent her back to the sect as a child until he wondered if gods could possibly save someone as despicable as him. He used his beads to spy on her and was stunned how beautiful she became that he felt his heart was gently thump. He let her go back to the past to see if she is capable to make him fall in love with her as bet against the fate of the realm. He never expected to lose the bet. His final thought was the beginning of the story filled of conspiracies and selfishness, ended with love & devotion .( I think all TTJ DG 1.0 plan for sending LSS to past its even he have chance to kill her but he didn't in episode 1)
