In novel Ye xi wu and Li su su don't have same face, li su su is described more beautiful than ye xi wu
So technically le shi shu is sleeping in egg shell for 500 years and watching a dream that she has become ye xi wu and saving Tan tia jin.

Like this it's explained in novel , in drama i don't know

Do you remember in ten miles peach blossom drama when FL falls into mortal realm then , she jumps into hole and dies and she is again back to immortal realm , i guess they will show it like that maybe I don't know
