Its not makers fault they were forced to shorten the length. Honestly i used to skip many episodes of xianxia earlier when they used toh have 60 episodes, like i skipped love and redemption and ashes of love and peach blossom. I m glad they have reduced it to 40 there are no boring scenes may be they will give explanation to all these plot holes later

I agree it's not good to compare with LBFAD that drama was a different one although booth looks similar from outside but there is huge difference

Yes this is sad they had to shorten the length of drama but it is understandable how tan tia jin got the throne but yes they should have showed the scene were he is thinking how he got his eyes back.
One thing i want to ask when will this life end , i watched official trailer there are scenes left were couple will be loved dovey and then after that ye xiwu will die , i don't know when she will pierce nails in his heart?
