I understand why some folks would hate this drama, but this is my type of crazy! The ML wants to FL to love him, but he can't help treating her like dirt. It's a classic dysfunctional, co-dependent relationship, and I am here for every second.

Creeping

The aunt has a big mouth and just dropped the dime. You knew this was coming because the wife is hell bent on finding the side chick...lol.

Frank and Earnest

The very frank convo this guy is having with his mom about his mistress is...golden. I am loving every second of this drama and it's batshit crazy ML. Viki needs to bring this bad boy back to its library. I am loving this so much.

Compelling

I am finding this older C-drama to be quite compelling. I expected to FF through most of this, but I am strangely hooked on the story and the characters.

Wow…

The scene where they finally confess is so well acted. I don’t find any of these side stories or seconds interesting, but the ML and the FL are killing it. You could not sell this story with phenomenal acting. Wow…

Wow

The end of this episode is…no words. I don’t know what I feel. Gong Yoo is a great actor. I literally don’t know how much longer I want this to continue, My mind is blown.

Mental gymnastics

Gong Yoo is a really good actor and this episode is hilarious. The mental gymnastics he is going through to trying to understand why he has this feelings is golden, even though I dislike the trope, he is fun to watch.

The Mothers

The start of this episode is hilarious. The mothers immediately try to marry them off, and the way the ML jumped over balcony had me cracking up. At this point in the game I am happily surprised that there are no crazy vengeful exes, or strange family plots. It just a nice slice of life.

Not a bad start

First episode is surprisingly funny. I can’t believe how many shirtless scenes there are…lol. Not complaining.

Why

Decent Episode. I have been rewatching this drama trying to figure out what I rated it so low the first time I watched it. But...I'm positive the FL doesn't learn her lesson when it comes to lying and continues to lie (even about stupid stuff) even after learning what should have a been a huge lesson in this episode. She even monologues that she learned a lesson, but she doesn't learn.

My jaw is on the floor

The acting and directing in the last couple of episodes has been so good I have to remind myself to read the subtitles. I don't think I've FF at all during this drama. In fact, I have probably REW so often to re-read subtitles that I've probably watched every episode twice. I am so focused on the scene I forget I don't understand a word...lol

Lovely Cinematography

This episode has some beautiful scenic shots that make me want to fly to China right now. I've loving the wardrobe and this episode is particularly good. This is the first C-drama where I have hit REW more that FF because I am enjoying watching the drama that I forget to read the subtitles...lol

Decent Parental Interactions

Thank God! The mothers in this drama are sane and loving individuals. Sometimes in C-dramas the mothers are brutal and bear no love for their kids or their grandkids. Bother the FL and ML mothers are decent people. Also, my hats off to the rational portrayal of actual humans. No one has so far made any bizarre or insane choices that a real human would never make. They aren’t forcing the “drama” in this drama. Nice.

Intro of Seconds

So far we were on a swanky cruise ship, now we are in beautiful Paris. Though, what European kid is carrying 50,000 euros? I mean seriously…lol. Though the set up of them actually getting married was well done. And the product placement is enticing. If you were wondering the name of the ship was Costa Venezia.

Good Start

C-dramas can be really hit or miss for me, but the start of this is very good. I like both the ML and FL (she was good in Mr. Honesty) and the production quality is top notch. I like what is on display so far so I am going for the plunge.
